Why is the ceiling at only 12 feet? IMHO it's too low as it still has mode build up. Treatment does help but a better option was a ceiling at 16ft to 19ft.
Huge fan of KEFs. I've KEF R series speakers for basement tv room. My 5 years old son poked nails in the center speakers R2C. I contacted KEF and explained the situation. They asked me send pictures and explain the situation via email. Without further questions asked, KEF changed the drivers and fixed the speaker at no cost...I love the company who understand their customers and go above and beyond to help them......I must tell you, KEFs R series are amazing speakers (Mains, backs, surrounds: R3, center: R2C and Heights: R8a)....amazing company and great products....I'm lifetime fan of KEFs...
Those couches they have for seating look amazing! I've always wanted a home theatre, but never been that fussed on the usual theatre style seats. This is much more like what I'd do (if I ever could 😅) Fantastic video guys! A real treat to see a company that takes the demonstration of its products so seriously 💯
These videos just keep getting better and better. Hadn't heard of KEF before this, but you created a new fan out of me. Subscribing to this channel has taught me so much, can't even recommend this channel more. Great work!
Beautiful setup and space. The only weak link is the subwoofers. It would be perfect to have the rel's or Jl's in that place. But again this is the manufacture showroom
Definitely got me curious about Kef speakers. I see from one of the comments below that they'll be at the Audio Advice Live event, which I'm planning on attending, so I'll be sure to check them out there. Thanks!
@@chebrubin It's at the downtown Sheraton Hotel. There are several large meeting rooms that will be set up on the main floor and in the towers, there are more demo rooms. We have spread apart the tower rooms to keep sound from bleeding over. We hope you can make it!
It all looks wonderful for their flagship theater showroom. But when I checked how much the lcr cost I almost fell out of my seat. 10 grand each. 👏😮 wow. Must be nice to spend 30k on front stage alone.
First of all, killer job making this video! Second, what a beautiful theater. Definitely one of the more beautiful theaters IMO. I love seeing the living room style look in theaters and not the typical commercial theater look with the traditional theater style chairs and what not. This theater is one that you’d actually want to hang out in with friends whether it be watching TV, playing games, or watching movies. I’ll bet the sound is amazing. Great job putting this video together.
Very nice setup. If I wanted a similar design, would I reach out to audio advice? Would you all provide building plans, etc? And would you happen to know the carpet maker?
Why no Double Bass Array (DBA) with an Bafflewall ? Its in the most cases the better choice Acoustically & Soundwise for home theatres, than a (mostly overpriced) finish Sub on a floor
No its a terrible idea and undoes acoustic work you may have done. Plus glare and reflections from the screen. How many public cinemas do you see with posters in the cinema itself?
We are not really sure as its at the KEF offices. We do have most of the gear listed here www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/kef-music-lounge-theater-tour?KEFTheater Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice cool, I live in NJ. Have Kef speakers. and love them. would love to see and hear these inwalls. I had Paradigm in walls about 18 years ago and they sounded great.
Speaker placement still doesn't make sense, if the room was a lot bigger and had elevated stadium style seating, then ok, but the seating is all at the same level, all the speakers are firing above all seating positions, not downward but above and across, no different from companies who'll put all speakers in the ceiling, you're always going to hear the content no matter where the speakers are placed, but the ultimate placement would still be at ear level (roughly). 🤔
@@AudioAdvice so what you are telling me is the room has poorer response with two subs and needs ten to have a smoother response. if they room was great with two then ten is overkill. Cant be both ways.
@@benanciopineda9374 didnt say it overpowered the speakers i said it has some serious acoustic issues in the sub range. if the bass is smooth on REW and you are adding 10 to make it slightly better that's a waste of money. If you are installing 10 then thats because the repsonse with 1 or 2 is awful. Simple.
