Hidden somewhere in France, lies this beautiful abandoned manor untouched for decades. It must have been a very big wealthy family which lived in this place.

These home explores always make me feel uncommonly nostalgic but in a heavy and sad way. To think of the lives and loves passing. Away into time. Pictures left behind are hard to take. I quess it reminds me that one day we to will pass on through and our treasured pictures will become trash. I dont know,but I dont watch many of these because of the powerfull emotions they invoke.

Thanks for showing all the details of the mansion. Sadly the model ship is not the Titanic. The Titanic had 4 smokestacks (funnels) It is a model of the ship SS Normandie (1935) which has 3 smokestacks. A luxury liner. There weren't many ships of that era with 3 smoke stacks. The Normandie was pressed into service during the WWII. The RMS Queen Mary was it's closest rival in speed and size at that time (also with 3 smokestacks) a passenger ship and then also later used as a troop carrier in WWII (World War two) some historical information for you :-)

That piece of furniture in the room with the poop was an exceptional antique! We would refer to the "French Beds" that have the high headboard and foot board as Sleigh Beds. That treadle Singer Sewing Machine is in remarkable condition! The leather belt on the machine is rarely found intact and in such good condition! That gold leaf carved mirror is worth a lot as well. I can't believe the things that are left behind by family that doesn't know what they have. Wow! That mahogany bed and the kids room with the rosewood (it looks like) banding... So very cool!

French wire baby bed..and that top hat ..all falling apart. The little portrait frames made of velvet..My belief is that the attic was for the maid servants. At 20:50! @Explomo
@Explomo 5 лет назад
Willy Egger Good question! Urbex hardly exists in the Netherlands. Abandoned buildings are emptied almost immediately and other locations are protected with alarms or camera surveillance. There is also a government regulation to offer abandoned buildings for a low price to squatters (so-called anti-squat buildings), these people can live in these buildings for a low price and this reduces the vacancy of buildings.

Hi Explomo, Maureno and Remon, What a charming beginning of your video with that short puppet theatre show! That was so nice and funny. - I also liked the short scene, when Remon was "lost" for a moment and then came out of that hidden wall door. The whole explore was very exciting to watch. Amazing, what you found in these rooms! The cross with the Jesus figure is called "crucifix", and the neckless at the side of the cross is a help item for praying and is called "rosary". - Some of these rooms are really very beautiful and gladly not vandalized. So It was once again a memorable trip into the past, accompanied by your excellent comment. I also liked the library with these many books. I loved seeing in some of the other rooms the music notes and the black piano. - Very well done! - I am already looking forward to your next video. They all are such a great pleasure for me to watch. Thank you for the wonderful video! - Kindest regards from Switzerland.

Living in a state with LOTS of Catholics, it isn't surprising to see so many religious statues. A lot of the music you showed appeared to be religious (or "liturgical") I kept seeing the words "invocation" and caught a few other music terms that are typically used in religious music. With all of the Catholic artifacts, I wouldn't be surprised! Keep up the good work. I just found your videos and they are quite good! I've worked with historic preservation for years and years, so I really appreciate the respect for the home and furnishings that you show on your explorations. I do have a request if I may. Around 2:50 you pan off to show the titanic model. But right behind it was an old stunning gilded mirror but was never focused on. Also I believe an old sword was right there, so cool! I live in America, we don’t have places like you do over there. Seeing old antique furniture made out of exquisite burl and those gilded mirrors and old paintings with the most gorgeous frames, makes me want to see it. I suggest you research "rosaries" . Whenever you find these in houses you call them bracelets but they are prayer beads. You found one here by the wooden cross. It is a series of beads, 5 sets of 10 etc. Love your videos and the houses you find. So much history in them, and always so amazing.

When praying with a rosary they ate wrapped around your hands, so to some people they are called bracelets

Great explore! Some of those books are very old. Perhaps you can check dates? No one does for some strange reason🙏🏻❤️

12:20 is not a bracelet but a rosary this family was Catholic as many French people were at the time. 16:34 is not a doll house but a puppet theatre very popular between the late 1700's through the early part of the 1900's. Enjoyed the videos and who ever is handling the camera is doing a fantastic job!

That statue you were speculating about is, I believe, of Krishna. The mark on the forehead is worn by him. It is called 'tilak'. Therefore it probably came from India.

I love your videos!!! Love both of you guys!!! But for aesthetic purposes, it would be awesome if the person holding the camera went into the rooms first that way the viewers could get a clear shot of what it looks like!😉 Thank you guys for all of your hard work!😊 Keep it up!🥰

I had roller skates like that as a kid. Yes, we call it soccer because of our own NFL Football. Such a shame the place is in sad repair. Loss of antiques. Lot of toille wallpaper. A puppet theater in child's room. Maybe the nursery.

Wonderful journey this time, as always. The hat looks as if it is slowly being eaten by moths. It is felt and would have been very expensive when it was new. I also do not understand how you don'[t have many more views than you do, but I suppose urban explorers are not everyone's' cup of tea. I love that you take us on your travels each week. Thank you agian

This isn't a mansion of the Royals but rather a convent, or some kind of Catholic residence. They used to be common and usually near a churches, and I hear the church bells nearby at 21:31
