There is nothing wrong with prefab in my opinion if you can get a prefab box close to your sub or subs spec it really doesn't matter. me personally I've always went with prefab because I don't know how to build a box the cutting I can do it's just the cubic inches and cubic feet I don't understand.

Right, obviously I MYSELF believe some of it is impractical for daily driver stuff xD, but man i let people enjoy it to the extent of their passion! In the end i do love getting a demo from a daily bass machine when they come around.

I cant believe i'd ever say this as I despise boss but It looks like one of their old school units that were very heavy and solid. I actually found a boss in my friends car from like 2003 that was accurately rated at 300w with a 30a fuse.

Id use some boss amps on just some mids and highs, not on the sub tho. Id also cover that shit up hahaha. Theyre not bad starter amps or for mids and highs but they dont put out what they say they do and their crossovers suck for subwoofers. Glad i dont use em anymore though

Waiting to see some clips of the 2019 tdh event in Fredericksburg. Was able to meet exo! Was hoping to get a demo in Frankenstein but we had a great time. Got a clip of the white van you did a demo in, after you hopped out it was spewing oil everywhere from underneath, broke something loose the bass hit so hard

I just installed two summo 12s and two audiopipe apcl1500s in a prefab in the back of my Buick... The box almost fell apart!!! I ran hundreds of screws in my box to keep it together until I get some birch to build a box, she banging.

I use to compete in car audio when I was in my early 20's, won 2nd place a couple of times locally. I only had 2 12" Type R's (The originals) and a 1200 Watt Orion XTR Pro 1000 amplifier. I made the entire trunk speaker box, lots of dino mat... And I put ports in the rear deck to shoot sound at a 45 degree angle up the back glass to the front windshield where the Mic would be. I topped out at 150.2 DB on 2 12's.... I was like "The Fastest Indian" but with car audio. I was constantly trying to get more out of just those 2 12's. I would tighten bolts, shoot foam in stuff that was vibrating and on and on. Funny thing to it was all in a 1991 Ford Tempo GL.... LOL Now days though, I have a Polaris RZR and go offroading, so I'm trying to get a NICE stereo on that.

nothing wrong with a pre fab so long as the space is right and port is proper ( exact box depth and specs may matter in some very specific cases but generally as long as the cu ft is right you're fine.)

I've recently purchased a massive audio hippo xl 15. In a prefab memphis audio box. Its 2k rms... I'm on stock charging systems. Ive got a good amp but it's only pushing 1500 rms. I like the hippo15 but I kinda want to put my old system back in.. My question is.. And I'm already doing this tbh.. but I'm waiting in shipping LOL. My question, do you all think pimping out my charging system and getting a custum box will make me love the hippo ?
