What a beaut! Both of them! Nicely done! I believe that bear hunters serve a very important function in reminding bears to fear humans. Bad things happen when they get too comfortable walking into campsites and people's backyards.

Great hunt and great bears. Love watching your shows. Just a side note, we hunted there a few years before this - beautiful camp and met some great people. The owner - not so much. We knew the area from a prior hunt - it was clear he had an attitude with women, actually an attitude with us about everything - really just rather unprofessional. Yes, we got bears, no we'd never go here again and we wouldn't recommend him. Keep putting out great shows - you guys are great!!!!

The first one, any seasoned hunter would NOT agree with at all! Maybe an excited kid, but not a supposed "seasoned professional"... And on the second bear, when he came out the first time, I said out loud, if he takes that quartering to shot also, im UNsubscribing immediately... Then the second time he came out, I was like don't do it!,!,! then he turned, an brought front leg forward, I was like NOW, an there it was... But Dad needs a refresher on bear hunting, bear anatomy, and that big shoulder an heavy leg bone... Musta only clipped the liver enough, then the rest was pure guts, bet that was nasty and smelly to gut out lol... I don't belive the "he only went a100 yards either", doubt many bear hunters did lol, but ok, I'm still a subscriber...

Love bear hunting. Congrats. I am curious though, on the first bear, why aim behind the shoulder on a quartering to presentation? It's opposite of quartering away so why not aim in front of onside shoulder and exit behind opposite shoulder?
@canadaintheroughtv

Just all depends on the steepness of the angle and remember, the camera angle isn’t usually the same as the shooters angle

@derekmcmurry
@derekmcmurry Месяц назад
@@user-ki9fu3tk5c If an animal is quartering TO you and you shoot behind the shoulder you hit ONSIDE vitals but risk GUT shot exit depending on how much angle there is. Quartering AWAY shots are excellent, so if an animal is quartering TO you it's ideal to aim in FRONT of the onside shoulder so as to get an exit through the offside vitals and not the guts. It's simply the opposite of a quartering away shot.

@@dianedavidson5692 I get how you feel, but in addition to a source of food, bear hunters play a very important role. They teach bears to be wary of humans. This means that they are less likely to wander into campsites or towns, lessening the chances of dangerous bear encounters.
