Don't lose any by dying or lose them by coming off the hook? Easy for the big ones to spit the hook with barbless. I lose less with barbed hooks. But I rarely use them except for bigger fish, mainly when I'm going for big browns and big rainbows.
@@NoRodnoReel they are two different sports, both of which I am very good at. I save my conventional for fish I put on my table, usually a salmon species. And to the benefit of fly fishing is exactly conservation. Less intrusive hooks and setting methods.
Frank, this show was shot ten years ago and I had to check out the video to recall what it was. Believe it was a William Joesph backpack which unfortunately are no longer made. Orvis, Patagonia and Simms make some good quality bags which will accommodate fly rods. Good luck in your hunt for one! Cheers
