Every time you showed him looking at the camera, I just wanted to reach through and give him a huge hug!! (I know that’s not the best idea but my heart still ached for him!) I’m glad you guys could do something for him to get him on his way to walking normal again!!!

Watching that, I was thinking "Why does the heel of his claw look so well delineated compared to cows?", followed by "I wonder if it's detached"... Followed by "Surely it can't be all detached up to there", and then "Oh. It is. Goodness!". I've obviously been paying attention to a very good teacher! Excellent work as always from you all. The usual bulls I see are Holsteins at county fairs. Heck, with that breed, even the "girls" are HUGE!

Amd Limousin bulls are particularly large. Bulls average between 1000 kg (2200 lbs) and 1300 kg (2870 lbs.) Bigger than Brahman and Santa Gertrudis, but not quite as big as the Charolais.

@@cathleenc6943……when attending our Royal Show, I’d always wander through the Cattle Pavilion, as I’d worked with cattle, droving. They always enjoyed a face rub, & ‘chat’! As a horse rider, I’d spent decades’ around the horses’ stalls’, though………doing any work, as required, as well as exercising them, & riding in events’, in the Main Ring………🇦🇺

They are also pretty intelligent and fully aware of their power. I know it's not everyones cup of tea but have folks ever watched the PBR rodeo bulls? They switch on to perform then switch back off straight away.

Oh what a sweet boy! The minute his foot was up in the air and not having pressure put on it he calmed down drastically, and his big ol’ eyes say it all- he didn’t wanna hurt anyone or himself, he was just in a lot of pain. As the trim kept going I was so saddened because that meant every single position that bull put his foot in was painful. No wonder he was so stressed. Great work as always and I hope the bull is recovering well ❤️

That big guy showed a lot of trust, a manifestation of how this farm handles their animals. Good practice, makes the job much easier. Better watch out Graeme, next time he sees you he's apt to try to give you a hug. Loved the music BTW.

Grandpa was a dairy farmer in sleepy SLO (San Luis Obispo, CA). Been thinking about how you describe the pain of any ragged horn left behind, anyone who’s had popcorn bits stuck in their teeth knows the instant pain and annoyances well. Infection requiring a dentist’s intervention can even happen from just a wee shell stick into our gums. Imagine that under pressure standing on that! Enjoy the show, love to you all.

Every time I see how a bull or cow struggles just to get in the lift, and then after you work your magic walking out and realizing it doesn't hurt as much, it warms my heart. You can almost picture the cow or bull smile at the sudden relief.

I love those first few steps out of the crush when the animal realizes things are better. Obviously completely better wasn’t immediately possible here but you can still see him realizing “oh, ok, I can kinda do this now,yeah..I got this”

Kinda brings a tear to my eye seeing a beautiful, strapping bull limping. I always think of a bull as the overly macho men that say, “Oh just rub some dirt on it, you’ll be fine.” or “Ah, just walk it off, you’ll be fine.” 😆

I seen the hoof separation at the hoof bulb there in the beginning. I was guessing it was a total double sole and for once I was right! I am glad you were able to start him in the right direction to be well again!
