Man, the way you talk about this guy makes me think he DWARFS all other mono-red decks!

I first saw Torbran and thought, "oh he belongs in my mono-red deck", and never thought to stop and think "OH! He should be my mono-red deck!" I thank you for opening my eyes to the possibilities this day.

For some reason you're the first person to point out that he works with any source not just spells and I appreciate that

I think a big part of what makes Torbran sneaky good is that he breaks symmetry on damage-based effects, which effects like this in generally haven't done in the past. It actually opens up a more control-based strategy of using Earthquake-style effects to never let your opponents keep a creature around, ideally having kitted out Torbran with Darksteel Plate or something (but not necessarily, since 5 damage kills a lot, and we probably do have some targeted damage as well) and finishing them off either slowly with something like Mana Barbs, or quickly by sinking a bunch of mana into a Pyrohemia or a Tempt with Vengeance.

Me to my commander group: "Do you like dwarves?" "Do you like dwarves who hurt?" "What if I told you he was NOBLE though?"

Me humming- “We didn’t start the fire” My opponents glaring at me while I slowly obliterate them with Torbran

Torbran is probably the most Red mono red commander out there. It's so quintessentially red and embodies the color so well that it's a perfect representation. I'm building Torbran right now and I can't wait to fulfil my pyro dreams.

Torbran is my favourite legend from Eldraine he looks like the most exciting one to brew a deck around

This is probably one of the most awsome decks I have ever seen. This is the reason I love Jumbo Commander....he always has some of the coolest and very powerful decks that can just amaze me ^^

What a great commander to get new players into EDH and deck building! I'm sure everybody has a TON of bulk red spells that could be put to use with Torbran. I'm thinking adding a sprinkle of Kiki-Jiki would be absolutely bonkers. As always, great video!!

Oh man! This is what I am talking about. I have never played a mono-red deck before. None of the commanders seem interesting to me. Ill be honest when I first read this card I was just thinking about attacking creatures and I overlooked it but the way you built and explain this deck make me super excited to give it a go. My old 88 card casual/legacy dwarf deck benefited so much from Eldraine (and got me to look at other cards that came out in the past couple of years). 7 of Seven Dwarves, some new card draw tactics, and just from dropping one of Torbran into it it got so much power. 100 card deck after, and much more proud of it.

I remember there was a discussion in our locals about how mono-red can ramp faster than mono-green. Everyone thought I was an idiot until I had like 15 lands while others had 10-11 lands. Then I obliterated them.
