Gameloft has dropped dropped some INSANE news to us! The game will not be free to play and there's also a PAID expansion pack! So much to discuss here!!
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid between a life-sim and an adventure game rich with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring Disney and Pixar friends, both old and new.
Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony-until the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle.

I don't think so as everyone has to pay for it. But we are getting the exclusive content in the Gold Edition for free.

Which update? The Cozy Edition? I preordered it for the switch and it came in yesterday.

@@Ms.Livvie1 No it’s didn’t. It came with the moonstones, the cottage, the sweater and the 5 raccoon companions. It did come with a small sticker sheet (the stickers are the size of your thumb) and a double sided poster

Hmm, I don't mind if the game remains a paid game if it means the game will be less micro-transactions heavy. I think if the game went F2P, DreamSnaps would become pointless since Gameloft would have to jack up the moonstone prices to make money and the rewards from DreamSnaps would be so little. I really hope they don't lock every new character and story quest behind paid expansions from here on forth. If the paid expansions were a once-in-a-year thing I don't mind. It seems like we will be getting a lot of content and future content with this A Rift in Time DLC. I'd like to think of this as a sequel to DDV, but I guess we'll find out on November 1st what it's really all about! I'm really looking forward to all the new biomes to decorate in. My valley is getting really clustered lol. I'm also wondering why the Agrabah castle is damaged. Looks like another mystery to solve! I'm hyped for that!

I don’t mind it being a paid game either, I’m willing to buy a dlc every year too to keep playing the game. I just wished they had announced it separately from the update announcement. It just seems to dampen the excitement of it all. November 1st can’t come fast enough, I want to know everything 😂.
