That’s the most beautiful fairy 🧚‍♀️ journal I’ve ever seen. I wish you could do a tutorial on your journals especially big ones. I struggle with big ones and the paper for them. I absolutely love your work.

You are such a gifted artist!!! I have an infinity for elven, fairies, dragons, and every little detail of that life. You’ve brought all these pages of your journal to life so beautifully, as you always do, but I think that this one is my ultimate favourite you’ve made. I’ve been in awe all throughout this video, gasping at the pages, and how you’ve dyed and added more and more beauty as you went along. I love the story aspect. It’s like going on a journey. I love how you used a book, digital kits and more, but you cant tell one from the other. It all looks so cohesive. Like it all came from the same kit or book. It tells a story. Its probably your best one yet!! I have watched countless journal videos, but i always enjoy yours the most.

Wow, what an amazing piece of art. So beautiful and immersive. The whole time, I was imagining being gifted this as a young girl, I was always a voracious reader and fantasy was my favourite thing, I would have been beside myself, I could imagine adding all my own thoughts and secrets, my own adventures and art, and it's so big, you could add to it for years and treasure it all your life. Someone is going to be very lucky to have this. ✌❤

About a month. Which is 4 times as long as it takes me to make a very chunky 9x7 600 page journal. The giant journals are super hard to make but give so much freedom for creativity.

Thank you! Those are from a roll of masking paper I bought on amazon. Just look up green masking paper. I tore a piece off, crumpled it up and flattened it back out, dyed it with coffee and cooked it to give it a crunch sound, then inked the torn edges with Tim Holtz ink (a combination of vintage photo and ground espresso) to make them grungier.

How do you get that paper into the signature in that shape - sorry if it is a silly question. my gramma brain just cant phathom/work it out at 31:56 minutes into your video - please and thank you

@barbaraholzmann946 I just folded the paper very crookedly. So, one side at the beginning of that signature is sticking up, and the other side is hanging down.

I must admit to wondering this, mailnly because I have artist friends who get angry and upset about their work being stolen off the internet. However, a quick Google of copyright law was enough to settle that thought down. The OP is perfectly entitled to reuse pictures she has paid for in this way. Plus my artist friends are never acknowledged and can see the thieves make a lot of money off their work; this is patently not the case here. The OP has created a new work of art, a real labour of love, and she freely points out the original work and its artist. I have never previously heard of the artist but now I am following both her and the OP - win/win, surely, for two immensley talented artists. I hope it sells, OP, just wish I could afford it 😍

What type of dye did you use on that beautiful green page

I used RIT dye, a mix of dark brown and apple green. RIT dye does something special to paper that I've never seen as a result of other dyes. It makes the paper so soft and just looks so beautiful.

While I understand why you would charge $1300 for this journal, keep in mind that so few of us can afford such a large amount of money. Just saying.

I get that. That's why I have all different kinds of journals in my shop. This journal is definitely going to be one of a kind. It took me 4 times as long to make this compared to how long it would take me to make a $600 journal, not to mention all the extra costs in supplies to make something so huge.

take $1600 divide that by 400 pages it works out to $4 per page - pretty inexpensive, I'd say considering the amount of time, effort, creativity, and supplies it took - I get what you are saying though. I would absolutely LOVE to own this journal...

@@barbaraholzmann946 I would say it's NOT inexpensive, considering someone like myself who is disabled and I live on disability. I have health issues that prevent me from making my own journal. Spinal stenosis, RA Nd 3 herniated discs in my back. I am forbidden medically to drive so I can't go out and buy the things I need. I live in an apartment that's under 550sq ft with no stove or oven. But you're right It's relatively inexpensive.
