MASSIVE FREIGHT TRAINS !!! 

My dad was a railfan. He loved watching the trains go by...it wasn't always my favorite thing to do with him but I learned to love spending time with him. Miss you dad.

When I was a kid working on my granddad & grandmothers farm, there was a freight train that went very near their property line. When I would hear that train horn, and whatever farm equipment I was operating, I would always take-off and go to see the train pass by. My grand parents knew it. They did not seem to care because they knew I loved trains. I had a Lionel electric 25 car freight train set and I played with it constantly. I an 72 years in age and I still have that train set.

There's something so majestic about watching a freight train.

Never have I heard a sound more impressive than the horn of an American diesel locomotive!

I love these videos of American trains. Enormous amounts of all types of haulage n cargo....ty for the uploads...just shows how much is taken out there and sold on.

I live in Canada, and these big boys take 2 minutes to pass. I just put my car in park, my mother once saw one that lasted 6 MINUTES!

I always liked watching trains approaching from really far away on a straight section of tracks. The engines headlights and ditch lights make it look like a huge bright orb of light floating towards me because that’s all I can see when it’s farther away.

I love your freight train videos! As a kid growing up in So. California in the 60's-70's, I remember the excitement when the railroad lights would flash signaling a train was approaching. These massive behemoths would come rumbling through the suburbs of L.A. and the high desert too. As a kid these trains seemed to be steel robots with flashing eyes that had a mind of their own. They are still exhilarating!

Great job! I suspect it has something to do with the terrain, but in my neck of the woods [central Texas], the BNSF runs right by the farm. I've never seen engines in the middle of a train, nor have I seen stack trains with helpers. I did see one on the old MoP line running from Austin to Palestine. This had one UP engine in the lead and one UP engine as a helper.

I love the sound the rear end DPUs make.
