I would have loved to have seen the reaction to the garden, when the family saw it. I can't believe that, this beautiful garden was hidden under all of that muck. Now they can use their shed, and store their extra outdoor chairs, and garden tools. I wanted to teleport, through the screen, and help you, shovel out the dirt. God bless you and your family. however, I assume that with the mess in the back yard the rent is cheaper than it Ould have been otherwise .. so in a way it was a blessing in disguise for the tenant. Now she has the cheaper rent AND the nice yard ;-)

This was an EPIC transformation that had a bit of everything. Line trimming, weed pulling, trash removal, leaf raking, tree pruning and finally a good pressure washing to finish it off!! It was an archaeological dig and you crushed it. You brought that backyard garden, the patio and pathways back to life and made it a safe space for that single mom and her kids! Shame on the landlord for allowing the new tenant to move into a property with a yard like that. You did a fantastic job, and this made for excellent content. You do it all! 😊

The title says for this video, To help a hard working single mum. People get too busy with working a lot, raising a family (especially on their own), or they can’t afford to pay someone to clean it up or someone became ill and disabled and can’t maintain their home and lawn anymore. It happens to a lot of people. It’s great that Ben was able to help this single mom. 😁

Hi Ben When you said massive, you weren't kidding. We saw everything in this video Waist or more high weeds, lots of trash and debris, some tree trimming, and all that muck. Didn't know those sheds were back there until you got to that area. I liked the whole video. My favorite part is always the power washing. Nothing like seeing dirty stone work come to life. Especially if it has colors. What a transformation. This one deserves a thumbs 👍 up and a high 🖐️ five. I'm sure Chantelle was happy and excited to see it. Crazy thing is... I live in a 4 bed terraced house with the same sized garden as the video, but my children have grown up now, the council will not help find me a high rise flat (as id be happy to live in one) and my landlord will happily house a family with young kids! its crazy . My garden is going to waste and its unaffordable for me. I love your video transformations :)

@FKAmandaAdams. I understand what you're saying but living in a high rise apartment is not suitable. It's like being in prison noises from upstairs and downstairs. Especially those that have no Balconies. I lived in one for three year's (Widow ) now have a three bedroom house. With garden herb's fruits and vegetables growing in large containers . Especially during lockdown (Covid ). So many people couldn't handle the pressure of being stuck in a building , detrimental to your Mental health. Maybe swap with young family in a two bedrooms house with garden . 14th February 2024.

Nice job man, those rather fetching coloured slabs were all the rage in the 70's, it probably the 1st time in 40 years that they have been properly cleaned. The family is really lucky that you've come to their rescue.

Wowie, Ben! That was a monumental task! You looked a bit desperate behind your lovely smile there for awhile, wondering just what you’d got yourself into. But, as always, you just started at the beginning and chipped away at it until it was done. I’m amazed you had the strength to return the following day to finish up! It’s impressive how no matter what you’re faced with, you square your shoulders, put your smile and good humor firmly in place, and just move forward, full speed ahead. That garden didn’t stand a chance against your work ethic and cheerful nature! I love that you show us your drop-dead gorgeous family! Well done on a fantastic job. I honestly wouldn't have believed that was the same garden. It's really hard moving from a flat to a house (I did it) you want a garden for your children to be able to play outside in a safe space but if it's overgrown and neglected you can't always afford to pay someone to come in and do it for you and don't perhaps have the time, knowledge or ability to do it yourself. You will have made such a difference to the woman and her children's lives. Thank you so much for doing that for her.

It's absolutely heart warming for you to think of other peoples children when you think of how you are going to handle a cleanup. Being a father yourself, you know that even something small might be a danger and might need addressed. WOW WOW was that more than you bargained for? I felt bad when all that muck you had to shovel. What backbreaking work. That by far is your most epic transformation. Who would have known the entire garden area had all those pavers? I can't imagine how exhausted you must have been. You have went from walks and driveways to major back yard transformations. A local newspaper or tv station should highlight you for your blessings.

I would never have guessed that almost that whole back yard was beautiful patio stones! Given that the tenant is a single working mother, it's probably good that there isn't more lawn - much easier to maintain. But the landlord needs to put up new fencing! As always you did a brilliant job of fixing it up!

I honestly thought the entire area was going to be paving stones, so am glad for you that there was some actual vegetation areas. :D It's one thing for you to go in and clear out a garden of all sorts of overgrown weeds, I have total respect for all the rubbish you cleaned out as well. The same question I was going to ask. Yikes! No wonder people question landlords' rights. I live in Western Canada, and landlords would never get away with that. That's an outrage! What a wonderful person you are Ben for helping this family out and creating a safe backyard for them. Well done!

Landlord is a bellend. Plenty of them are. Just look at the efflorescence on the brick. Sign of moisture leakage from somewhere. I was hoping Ben would blast that off, too.

I’ve been watching a lot of different “clean up living spaces” channels of late. This is the FIRST and ONLY comment so far. You are awesome!!! I thought for sure there was dirt under all that grass. With each tile you uncovered my respect for you and your work grew by leaps and bounds. That was indeed the most dramatic change I have seen so far. Blimey buddy well done the effort you have gone into clearing the garden is amazing I’m not even through the video but I know the outcome will be great and thank you for helping out a single mum.... the struggle is real my garden was way worse than this and I’ve finally got it sorted by myself too with work and health problems it took me all summer

I have seen archaeological digs where roman mosaics are dug up. Amazing to see how quickly pottery features (like in the video) could have been 'lost' in the first place - this garden had only been 'buried' in weeds and soil for a few years. Until exposed by Ben. Several layers of interesting. Good job fella.
