In interview developers said that Max lost ability to rewind time like people can lose fluency in a language. So theoretically she still can do it, she just don't have control over it. When she got caught she rewinded time involuntary, but she can't do it on purpose.

At the end of LIS 1 you rewind all the way back to the start of the party. So if you save Chloe then Victoria and Jefferson are both alive (Its also confirmed that Kate survived the storm too, Alyssa survives in the comics but those arent 100% canon)

Syd Matters still has a decent discography that I wish they would pull a song from. In LiS2 they literally browsed everywhere to find existing songs that fit the story, sorta wish they did the same for LiS:DE

About the rewind - to me it makes perfect sense Max would rediscover her rewind power but use it only in stealth sequences! I recently replayed LiS1 and even then Max was wary of using her power for "stupid shit" (small choices such as overwatering a plant, destroying a book - I suppose adult Max learned her lesson and is now able to own up to her screw ups instead of escaping them through rewind) As for dialogue use of rewind, that's also something Max wouldn't want to "waste" her power for now that she's more confident in herself as a person and also realizes that rewinding conversations to "say the right things" is essentially cheating, and she doesn't strive for everybody to like her anymore therefore doesn't need to cheat her way into social life. However, getting caught while doing something she's not supposed to do or being where she's not supposed to be when the stakes are high (like solving a time-transcending murder mystery) is a believeable exception for Max to make. Also, for me it looks like she does it as a reflex rather than a mindful decision. It adds up with the whole theme of Max's powers being tied to her mental state and struggles. So yeah, I don't see a problem with restricted rewind :)

Victoria survives the Bae ending, she is in LIS2 and in the comics. David and Alyssa also survive. Kate will survive if you saved her.

What if she’s not rewinding - but instead seeing another timeline in which she is caught?

i actually want an explanation for her powers that leaves no room for debate i love knowing all the details in a game/movie/show and i actually came up with my own theory for how she got time/reality powers while the other protags have more or less normal psychic powers....after reading the Life Is Strange comic series i theorized that upon encountering the blue butterfly in Life Is Strange 1 max came into contact with a dimension called the transect (a place featured in the comics that is in between realities within the LIS multiverse) and after coming in contact with that dimension it altered her very being giving her the power to rewind time and jump into the past via photos and as for the events of Double Exposure i have two theories for why her powers evolved maybe as she grew as a person those transect powers changed with her and evolved into what they are now or maybe she was exposed to the transect a second/third time which changed her powers (that second theory for why her powers evolved would give more meaning to "Double Exposure" as a title) but anyway i really really hope we get a definitive explanation for the existence of her powers that will close the case and finally explain why max is seemingly the only person who got a cosmic level power

I think the murderer will be a new character. But this time the big bad will have super powers. So they're developing LiS to a new level: hidden arch enemies with their own super powers!

I have a theory that the reason why safi is dead is because we didn't take a bullet for her and we, as Max, go back in time to solve all of this but go so far in time by accident her memories get erased and the entire story then rolls out. BOOM!

I have a theory of what the Final Choice of what the game will be. But I think it’d be best if I keep it to myself as I don’t want to ruin it for everyone if I’m right. At the moment, I am still sticking to my theory that if the player kept Chloe alive, she will be mentioned throughout the game via text messages and conversations and then she’ll make a physical appearance in the final chapter.

Thats what i thought about, im pretty sure the developers are mostly showing the alternative when Chloe is dead too also create some suspense and also to make people get more suprised if she actually comes. What gives the fans a thrill and actually talk is uncertainty about the stuff we have known and learned to love so the best thing for them to do is to talk as little about the most loved characters as possible. Idk tho
