Walk Along Video Showcasing 2 Documented Unrestored 1970 L78 396 Novas, Survivor 1971 Heavy Chevy Chevelle, And A Massive Collection Of Other Collectible Musclecars And Parts.
I graduated High School in 1970 from Port Washington NY. This was an affluent north shore of Long Island area. During the late 60s, early 70s if you went to the local hamburger joint it was like a show for muscle cars. On weekends the town dock would be the place to go to meet up, drink beer and go out and race for money down the road that went by Bar Beach. Street racing was going on all the time. Almost forgot. Back in 1965 by brother in laws cousin showed up with a 427 fuel injected 4 spd, posi rear vette with side pipes. I got a ride in that in the back of the seats. We went from zero to 60 like I had never seen before. At 13 years old I was hooked. I rode around in so many different muscle cars I can't remember them all. I can't tell you how great it was. There was no end of big block everything. We had speed shops in town and all around the island. It was a different world.
Sorry.... but 427s were NEVER factory fuel injected!!!! Only 283s and 327 small blocks came with the rochester fuel injection option! I know that other readers of this on here would back that up.
Thumbs up my friend. What I like about this guy's property he's smart he puts the cars on gravel and not in the grass. Too many people got cars out in the tall grass eating away their prized Treasures. Yeah this guy knows what he's doing.
Wow, the guys sitting on a virtual a gold mine. The guy shows the kind of pride & respect that keeps these cars in such pristine condition. Can't wait for pt 2.
It's all hard to find stuff because it's all at this guy's place that is crazy man what a place the guy knew what he was doing when he hoarded all that stuff
79tazman has a time machine. Went back and drove them to his dad property. Left a note not to sell until 2018. Just before the worlds largest financial reset. Signed Marty mcfly. Lol
Nice video Parrick, it's amazing what is out there hidden that nobody knows about. This guy's hoard of cars and parts is pretty cool. I liked that 66 Malibu outside with all that Patina.
WOW....! I truly enjoyed watching this video..It literally took me down memory lane to the good old days..! Thanks for sharing this..Please show more if you could.
WOW is all i can say. Almost ALMOST the MOTHER LODE. Somebody had some really strong foresight to have bought all that stuff. Would be interesting to hear an estimated value for all...cars and parts. Thanks for sharing. One of your best of not the best, Patrick Glen
L Mar almost too good to be true. All originals with parts. All parked neatly and clean. Every option and extra original. Just finding a genuine is a almost impossible yet alone dozens and dozen of limited with parts in boxes unused ? Time machine. Lol
Amazing I stumbled upon this video because I was at this place about two years ago. Just amazing all the NOS parts he has on the shelf plus all those cars.
OMG. Chevy Wonder Land. You could build just about any Chevy muscle car you wanted just from parts from that property. I would kill to get that Heavy Chevy.
I do have 60+ Dana 60 4x4 front axels for mostly Chevy but do have a few for fords also!! I only have a couple Muncie 4 speeds though!! Not nearly as many as he has!! Lol I do thank the man for letting you show us all of his collection!!
this collection is just mind blowing. can't imagine what's in the other buildings and what the story is on the cars outside and the owners of this property. like you he's had a life time obsession and he's still at it ? he sure stores things in a proper and organized fashion. do you ever film the owners ? havn't seen any yet but i just found you channel yesterday. love it. you're young and you are so involved in chevy muscle cars of my day. i still have a few friends with chevelle's, corvette's, nova's and camaro's from back in the day. all big blocks. i remember the first time i saw and heard a 302, 69 z28 camaro. i had a 55 with a 375 solid lift 327 with a muncie and a 456 rear and that camaro tore me up. both our cars raddled your teeth idling and revved up. his was so much lighter and cost more. my 55 was stolen and stripped a month later. cops found it in the woods off a rural back road just outside town. i put it back together with a 283 and saginaw trans and junk yard rear jackpot and sold it. they must not have known i had fiberglass front fenders. the body not damaged except the rocker panel was bent on the passenger side where the tow truck driver drug it off concrete blocks. idiot. it's tough living through you and your video but i sure do appreciate it. i enjoy them. do what you love while you can. wish i still could. i love old original harley's 65 and below and pick up trucks from the 30's and 40's. especially 40 dodge, 41willy's and 34 and 40 ford pick ups that were built in the late 60's early 70's. i don't care for the computerized restorods built using the body of cars from back in the day. they're nice but wire and fire ain't that easy. you need a laptop to set them up after wiring everything. break down and you're screwed unless you know everything about the systems and carry extra components. that's if you can get to the component. i say no computers anywhere. gas, spark and oil, a hammer, screw driver, pliers and a crescent wrench. be gone, i love all gassers but i hate seeing a nomad like that.
@@kinnybeee3163 it's been probably 6 years ago since I was there. It may be all gone by now. Can't even remember where it was. I am thinking it was around Tama
i cant wait for part 2 ,my old school buddy thats about 8 years older than me has kept his 66 chevelle up on blocks since he got married ,mid 80s i think,it hasnt seen day light since the mid 80s,has old school N50s tires with cragars
This family's worth a 1/4mil, w/mid to low end prices in Muncie. This dude a boss in my book. Peps r gonna comment how, thats nothing compared to this r that guy, but I've never seen or heard, of anything like this. I bend a knee to your collection sir! A kings of muscle rite their.
There is a guy near Canistota South Dakota that has near 500 cars, I was there, very cool. Probably half of them were Mopar. My buddy bought a 1966 Lemans from him.
Nice hoard job. There's a warehouse in Macedonia,Ohio that would make this look like a yard sale. That's going to be one hell of an estate sale one day, because you cant take all that stuff with you.
This is the kind of property I would like to walk around with the owner and learn so much about his cars while smoking a cigar........so many stories on this lot
FYI_ Chevrolet dropped the "Chevy II" from the name in the end of 1968. I owned several Novas and Chevy IIs' The last one was a 1968- Chevy II Nova. My 69 was named as just plain Nova... Info that is important to some and worthless to others. I love the video!!!
John Quade FYI if you read the comments I already said that and apologized. I’m well aware of the nameplate change as any average average enthusiast is. I just used the generalized statement. Thanks for watching.
Anyway those are awesome cars I used to watch him go down the track. Apparently those Chevy twos and Novas had a nice balance and stiff frame for drag racing
Excited how could you not be if you have chevy orange colored blood. Thank you for showing us if not for you us poor folk would never have know that horading coulb be a good thing
Love how u show them i get pumped you talk about every one we see like were looking at mona lisa of corse i still see a few of thase but their always restored thease are origanal
This guy had to work for GM or maybe a shop that was changing parts out in order to collect all the stuff on top of a swap meets and garage sales of course
Wade Brown: What h.p. and clutch/ pressure plate were you running? I lost 1st gear in one just mashing it from a roll. You're right about the weakness, very good point Wade.
I'm from Iowa and Iowans are generally honest people. But I can't help thinking this guy goes into a junkyard for a transmission and comes out with 3. A lot of small town junkyards are do it yourself. That is you pay the guy on the hill then take your truck down and load what you bought. Not saying, but that is an incredible amount of stuff.
A Pretty Amazing Collection....He must've been successful at what he did to be able to afford a place that big to hold all those cars, let alone all the parts he has collected. Great to see the cars were Manuals, Sticks/Standards in Seppo language......I guess if you're running that many Chevy's you need a lot of spares!
When someone hoards that amount of classic parts and vintage cars, you can bet that there’s absolutely NOTHING going on with those cars, and sadly, they’ll probably just rot away with no one able to enjoy them or drive them...certainly not restore them or much of anything...it’s a damn shame, because I’m sure the guy works a lot to be able to afford that inventory of great stuff, but probably doesn’t have the time to work on much of anything...so it all just sits there...it’s really a shame.
Two Black Labs The man was a collector and knew what he was doing. Just because he isn't letting everyone else have his cars doesn't mean he is selfish. He owns them all. If someone wants one of these cars, they can get off their ass and work for one that's already out in the market.
He got a 200.000 dollars in tranny's Muncie 4speeds not to mention 12 bolt posi traction rears in them dam Chevelle's and Chevy Il this guy is a millionaire
@@redrider7730 Damn what in the world why are you so defensive, It was a simple joke man just playing. I have been married over 15 years and have more than what I should I mean I race dirtbikes and go out on the boat and do it all together with my wife and enjoy life. I'm not sure what triggered you're response but calm down it was just a joke. You can have toys and still have a relationship it's just a balance of the two but luckily my wife enjoys sharing these things with me.
Is the house next door for sale I’m ready to move. I would never leave the shop if I had that stash. We need more old school guys like that in everyone’s neighborhood. I can’t wait to see the follow up videos
Some day we will talk about some of the cars that I know of in ohio like cobra 45 Fairlane ! A farm full of nova / chevelles 68/69 chargers and a mucle car junk yard that was are roundy roundy parts yard !
I love these old cars because they were obnoxious and bright, that notwithstanding, there are German SUVs that can beat any muscle car hands down and doing it with 7 people on board. Muscle cars were slow, (compared to a, say LANDROVER), leaked oil and rattled. They took a corporate product and put pretty decals on it. I had a 65 Mustang 289 4spd 4bbl, SS454 ElCamino 4spd, 340 Dart 4spd, keeping in mind they auctioned off police cars at 50,000 back then because cars were breaking down a lot then. There was always someone roadside with problems in the 60s 70s.
Jfc, stacks of muncies.. Now that's funny, "the owner was revving the engine so high the mechanical fan went through the hood"....then goes on to describe how bone stock it is, love it.. Camera guy knows his stuff, he's spot on about the 396 engine, they were actually 400+ CI (Jaw on ground.... the whole time)
"Hidden barn find" then at approximately 1:05 to 1:18 cameraman shows clear shot of both car tags.It wouldn't be hard to find the location of this property if one were so inclined.
Wow I would sell my house for that ..amazing Don't let some shyster come in and try to low-ball you if you decide to sell things. You are obviously to smart for that ...unbelieveable
This dude must have been in the junk yard , or as we said in the 60s. 70s "THE BONE YARD" Buisness & just keept grabbing stuff over the decades, Very smart, very cool.
My father owned a junkyard with all kinds of hotrods 57 Chevy's 60s Impala ss mopars of all sorts he was a woman nizer drunk dreamer sold the whole business cheap today money 2 million dollars worth what a fool he was dead now poor man to
