I think it's great the way you are raising your boys to love fishing, I'M 80 YRS. old and have a son your age. You, the boys and Kelly are like family to me. I've always liked fishing myself. Keep up the good job. Your boys are very lucky. I love your videos.

Hey Gabe I have been watching you for awhile thanks so much. I appreciate how important it is to raise your kid. I raised my daughter my youngest daughter by myself since she was three I taught her everything that I could as she was growing up. In 2020 she bought a house on her 22nd birthday just goes to show what you teach your kids is what works. keep it going man you're doing what's right.

I didn’t grow up around boats or outdoor fishing activities but the guy I’m dating is and he made me do everything you’re saying! I was scared 😂 and the first time I loaded the boat on the trailer it was in the pouring rain after sunset. He said “you’ve seen me do it many times, your turn”, he hopped out of the boat and I didn’t have a choice! But now I can do it no problem. It’s so awesome you’re teaching your boys. I wish I had the opportunity to learn at a young age.

To answer your question about what we love to take our kids out to do, my daughter said, "which season?!?" We take out kids to do everything from prospecting to snowshoeing, kayaking to fishing, hunting and camping, backpacking and hiking the peaks of the west. Our youngest is 5 and hiked up his first trail at 3. We don't do the video games but sure kill it out in the wilderness. Love to watch your videos because my kids like to know they are not alone in the world of getting out and doing things. Thanks for doing your part.

Jake is a cool cat. Give them the tools and show them how then let it buck. It is fun when they get the real time experience and a Dad that is supporting and encouraging them along the way. They grow up to fast these days. I love the outdoors and all the adventures it holds. Way to go showing those boy's how to treat a woman too. Great kid's don't just happen. They follow the example that they were taught. Good job Gabe!!!

I’ve had my granddaughter on my airboat since she was 18 months old, she’s now almost seven and has a 16 month old little brother. My granddaughter loves the outdoors, camping and airboating are shooting are just a few of her favorite things. I hope my grandson is the same way.

My dad made us (read let us) drive the boat when we were kids. We learned early and made it easier on him. Now my daughters can drive the boats, my older 13yo can launch the bay boat by herself. My dad fishes on my boat now and really doesn’t have to do much. Nothing like fishing with 3 generations. Great job, love the videos.

I raised my boy the same way, whether he was with me or his grand dad's and uncle's.He was brought up getting experience in being a young man. It's the best way at making sure they're ready for whatever comes along later in life. My daughter came along the same way, hunting ,fishing.I like those two boys you have there.

Love fishing with my boys. I remember the first time i let them drive the boat...couldnt beat the smile off em! Been luck to fish with them for 24 years now and it never gets old

Agreed. I probably shouldn’t have been but I was driving on road when I was 12. Growing up farming with trucks, tractors, and equipment to move farm to farm, sometimes there weren’t enough adults to drive everything. I grew up faster than a lot of kids but wouldn’t change a thing. Fishing and camping are our favorites with our girls.

This is better than Disney World any day of the week! Been watching DMFD since before his kids were born and it’s awesome to watch you now and your whole family making these amazing memories! You’ve been making epic videos since you started and I look forward to them every notification. Always loved the outdoors but y’all have taught me a ton. My daughter loves this kind of stuff but my son not as much. I’m going to try to book a trip this year and see if I can get him on a big fish and change his mind. My children are grown up now and have children of their own, My favorite thing to do with my son Was she snorkle. And catch abalone. I live on the West coast, Mendocino Coast. It's a different ocean over here. I grew up on the East Coast, and moved here in 1979. But for sure snorkeling off the bluffs for abalone, with my son, and fishing off the bluffs with my daughter and son are my fondest memories of all.

I live in New Hampshire and love to take my kids fishing dont know much about it not an expert but trying to teach them how to fish and have them to know not to waste nothing I grow up in a small town in Mexico we farm but there is not much to do and want them to know not everything is tv and technology want them to go out explore learn be independent know the ways of life provide for themselves like I want them to know how to actually survive and be free u guys are amazing u and ur brother are amazing wish I could some day meet u 2 guys ur level of knowledge is beyond words u guys are inspiring many and teaching many lots of useful stuff God bless you guys and ur family

Great job! My boys grew up drag racing. I did it for a living back in the early 80's. They learned responsibility doing things in the shop. One is a tow boat captain on the Mississippi and the other is a top body man in our area. Bring em right and no problem

My kiddos favorite is our annual Moose, Caribou, grouse, fossil hunting and grayling fishing trip each fall!!! We pack a lot of adventure into 10 days!! The rest of the year we fish for Salmon, Halibut ,Rock Fish, Huge Ling Cod, Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Dollies, Lake Trout and Burbot. Waterfowl hinting and chasing whatever is open season we chase!!! Love your vids-Ron

Gabe you are so right on teaching your kids. I learned to drive sitting on my Dad and Grandpas lap from a very early age. When I was 13 my Dad and I were hunting and his shotgun malfunctioned and shot him, I had to drive him to the hospital 15 miles away and saved his life. Thank God I was taught how to drive. However he might of showed a lack of judgement when he let me take our boat to the lake with my friends at 16. Luckily it turned out ok. I taught my kids all the same things at an early age.

I always took my kids, 2 sons and 1 daughter when I went hunting and fishing, The are now in the 40"s and they take their kids hunting and fishing. I hunt and fish through them and watching your video's as I am confined to a wheel chair after an accident.
