This looks very similar to an air based city builder that released a number of years ago called Airborne Kingdom. As I look up that game I have realized they are developed by the same company. Airborne Kingdom was very well done, with a similar art style.
Yep, this is kind of a sequel, but it doesn’t continue the story really, just later in the timeline with the events of the first creating the ruins you scavenge around the map
