Well done, Phil. Your collection is stunning. A variety of exclusivity that a lot of collectors can only dream of. Do a part 3 of the garage as well if it's possible.
I have to say that this is a very impressive collection and it’s refreshing to see more of us whom can enjoy and appreciate the details in what it takes to be a Hot Wheel by opening and displaying them. I don’t collect for value purposes and all my RLC, STHs, Conv pieces, premiums, etc are all opened and displayed as well. People say I’m crazy and lower the value of them but I think they’re crazy for not opening them and displaying them to genuinely appreciate the hobby. I even opened and displayed my 55’ Candy Striper gasser that number 0023/4000, even though I do have the card in a Coval case. My question tho is what type of acrylic display do you have them displayed on? I’ve purchased 3 enclosed displays with mirror backing for my more rarer castings, and I have purchased 12 acrylic wall displays that hold 50 castings, but I don’t care for how they don’t look like a continuous display. I really like how you have yours displayed, and after watching your video I’m seriously considering creating my own RU-vid channel. Not for monetary purposes of course, but just for putting my collection on display. While I don’t have a collection as extensive as yours, I have had people in my collectors club telling me that I should definitely be proud of my collection and should put it on display for other collectors to see. Which Idk if I’m really that comfortable on letting people that Idk really knowing what I have in my house bcuz I’ve seen other instances where people have had their houses broken into to try and steal their valuables. Sorry for so long, but when it comes to the hobby I could talk for days😂. Anyway I hope you have a great day and wonderful Christmas holiday!
Who said you have to post your face or your address, matter fact you don't even need to talk put caption or voice changer so many options LETS GOO POST IT UP I EVEN SUBSCRIBE TO YOU
Fantastic video of your awesome collection Phil. Thanks very much for all the detail and taking it slow so we can admire your cars. I’m sure this video will become a reference for thousands of collectors around the world, I myself are from New Zealand.love your work Phil, keep it coming 👍
It’s a reference for RU-vidrs that doesn’t take the time to slow down in every single piece and you as a viewer can appreciate, Great collection, great information also, waiting to see the garage video....:)) Regards...
I would say amazing collection but I wouldn't be giving you enough credit because its beyond being amazing. I can comfortably say you have the best collection online right now due to the kind of cars you currently have and the ranks each car holds as you have some cars most of us are having a very hard time getting a hold of or are very expensive. Overall all great video full as usual, lots of information and beyond amazing cars. Thanks Mr. Phil
I love your collection and your method of collecting. I use a similar approach- I collect several castings I like in various genres - but of course I only have a fraction of what you’ve got! Keep up the great work collecting and sharing your passion for diecast with everyone! 🙌🏻
@@mtldiecastcafe Your welcome Ide be very proud to have half of that Collection 🤠 you guys over the pond have a great choice of cars especially the muscle cars . Here in the uk they are pretty hard to get hold off . European cars mainly . Ebay is were i do most of my shopping and as you may know the prices are crazy on there 😱😂. Great upload all the best to you 😇👍
Also, this is the 1st year to where I actually found every STH of the year in my local stores w/o having to purchase them in the secondary market (EBay etc). I have been fortunate in being able to get every RLC to date on Mattel Creations, and I’m currently waiting for the last 2 sealed cases of 2023 premiums. Believe it or not, it’s actually more difficult to find them in the stores bcuz of how bad the scalpers hit my local stores. When you factor in time and gas money, it’s cheaper and easier to buy them from a 2nd hand seller than it’d take to eventually get them in a store. Even though I hate doing it bcuz it feeds into the scalpers motivations and kinda takes away from the gratification of collecting (only somewhat 😂). I do keep the RLC STHs in their display tho bcuz I already have released the ones that I purchased individually.
You have an amazing collection mate - fantastic to see everything up on display. Have an awesome day!💥From Fun At Home (Hot Wheels, Lego, Cards, Stamps & collectables)👍
I would have thought with all the rare pieces you have with supers, RLC , & conventions. That you would have had the rare Shelby Cobras, like the HOLY GRAIL RLC, & convention one. Anyways nice to see all the premium.
Agree about collecting to be able to see them. I do same only collect ones I like and have place to display them. What is purpose just to store in boxes under table😅 Waiting mainlines 👍✅
28:55 that Porsche 914 has been released 3 times -once in the red -once in green that came in boulevard box set and in orange that came from the normal boulevard
Phil I bought a small collection and was going through and came across a car by Hot Wheels I can’t find any information on. It is a Pink 55 Chevy Gasser Flying Tiger like the Green one. It is NOT a CUSTOM car either! Do you know anything about it?
The only pink gasser 55 I know is the candy striper. And the only 55 that looks like the flying tiger is the flying tiger. And I am only missing 3 to complete them, so I am not sure which car you are talking about.
Did anybody else notice he accidentally skipped the row with the Dodge tradesman in it but that is an awesome collection and open is the only way to collect
Hello Sir, I've just started to collect , today was my first purchase , I used to collect 1:18 scale and I had around 100 of them but then later sold all of those for some personal reasons, however i've decided to start afresh again but 1:64 scale this time, any advice from your experience will be really helpful , Thanks in advance.
My advice is simple, collect what you like. Do not fall into the hype and try to get everything everyone else wants. And try ro decide if you are collecting for yourself or for resale it will help you to decide whether you open or keep your cars sealed.
The trick is to sell it all, when the market is high for it. Then use that money to travel and buy better things than little toy cars. It's like a retirement investment. Don't die with all those cars. Sell them. Because whoever inherits them... will sell them immediately and then do what YOU should have done while you were still alive.
I am already retired, I have 3 older kids that want my collection, and I own a house, a car of the year, and a harley. They are all paid for, I have no debt, so playing with little toy cars is fine for me.
Depends on where you want to go with it. You could always take a break and come back to it if you decide too. I did that in 2012 and came back in 2016. It wasn't the best choice, though, I found myself trying to catch up with what I missed out on.
