Resident Evil 1 remake for 2026 makes sense to me because it'll be the 30th anniversary.

Personally it goes like this RE9 for 2025 with Chris (last main Re game) & Jill (with the role Chris had in Village) RE1R for March 2026 (30th anniversary) Rev3 for late 2026 with Leon Rebecca and Claire (her last Re) Cvr for 2028 ReX for 2030:(Leon last Re) and Jill Re5r for 2032

Also I know this upsets people but I don’t think they’ll do code Veronica either. I think they’re legit gonna do 9(prolly almost done already since 8 came out 3 years ago) and then jump straight into 5 and who knows from there. They could do 6. May not seem that old yet now but by the time they’d get around to it it would be like 2030 or beyond and 6 came out all the way back in 2013. That’s the mainline title they can improve the most imo

@jeremyroberts8822 It's not as much a question of need as it is money. An re1 remake that's as good as the re4 remake would sell. The old remake is 22 years old. That's an entire generation of kids who never played it. And if kids are playing the remakes but not the old games, then they're missing a lot of context. And remaking 1 not only gives newbies more context but it's also a great way to celebrate the series as a whole in 2026. Also remember that all of this remake buisness started because people were clamoring for re2. Now what they're clamoring for is Code Veronica. Code Veronica is definitely coming and I'll tell you why. First it's the game that needs the remake treatment the most if they're going to do more remakes. Two is because the Code Veronica fanmade game got shutdown by Capcom. Why would they do that? Three and this is the most convincing piece of evidence. Capcom put out a survey last year around the time RE4 was released. The poll was inviting fans to vote for the game that they wanted remade the most. I voted in that poll. The outcome was 80% in favor for Code Veronica. As far as RE6 being remade goes it would be smart to put it off as long as possible. I'll take a new RE1 over RE6 any day of the week. In my opinion, it's a game that they shouldn't remake at all unless they can figure out a way to make it more survival horror which I don't know if they can do. If they can great. But we're getting RE9, Code Veronica, RE10, and RE5 remake for sure as far as I'm concerned. RE1 I'm like 60% sure of. There's a big chance it doesn't happen, but I'm optimistic. If they're smart, they'll also take a chance at a Revelations 3. I think all of these are coming out before we ever get a RE6 remake.

@@michaelbush1374 Give it another 10 years at least before demands for RE6 Remake will become a thing. As of now, the biggest remake priorities guaranteed are RE5, another for RE1 and Code Veronica. RE9 and RE10 will definitely materialize between now (2024) and 2034.
