One thing I never appreciated before getting into photography is how limited the camera's dynamic range is compared to the human eye. I can't imagine what this looked like in person, as beautiful as it is on camera. It makes you appreciate more seeing something yourself versus watching it on video or a still.

Can’t believe how big the kids are getting…………wow. Great dive, what an amazing experience seeing all of those barracuda. Wonder if they were gathering to breed? I’ve never seen more than a dozen or so together while I’ve been diving.

Beautiful video Jonathon. Beautiful wreck. You keep adding to my huge bucket list. Love the school of barracuda. Reminds me of a night dive on Molasses Reef in 1979. Hundreds if not thousands of Barracuda formed around the glow of underwater lights from the boat. They just hovered there and then moved out of the way as you swam towards them. Amazing sight. Looking forward to the next video. 🥰

This is a very impressive wreck dive. What impressed me the most is not just the guns still present but cutting out sections to allow safe access from the structure. What an amazing dive.

I’ve done 3 dives at this wreck, always with Rhea Dive. To this day, it’s still my favourite dive location. With unbelievable visibility and uncountable varieties of fish adding to the spectacular experience of navigating through this well prepared wreck. I highly recommend the professionalism of Rhea Dive Center. Hope Johnathan has an episode for the other wreck, the Madeirense, also located at Porto Santo.

Guided missile corvettes are less capable ocean going ships, so Jonathan you’re right about them being stealthy and fast these which is perfect for littoral environments, their only perfect in hit and run attacks, most corvettes these days are not just equipped with anti ship missiles, but also with medium range surface to air missiles like the ESSM and a CIWS like the Phalanx to protect itself from enemy anti ship missiles. Perfect description of a corvette Jonathan like u said that they’re fast and stealthy basically making them an oversized missile boat

Watching Blue World just makes me happy. Love the nostalgic music, too. Can't wait for it to warm up so I can go dive again. I'll be trying to get in at least 2 dives a week this summer. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a minimum of 4 ocean dives in the summer. I need some dry suit training 😆.

They go to a lot of trouble to clean ships, remove all the fuel, oil, anything that could pollute the water, before they sink it. And then it becomes a great artificial reef attracting a lot of life, as you can see.

The layout and video of diving through that corvette, reminds me a lot of the virtual wreck dives of [i]Everblue[/i] and [i]Everblue 2[/i] on PlayStation 2. Except in this ship there are holes cut everywhere for light and escape (thankfully). I'd be nervous to be around that many barracuda. I know it's extremely rare for one to attack, but if one did a swarm like that is yikes. Anyway great video as always man, thanks for the dive.

Would exploring a sunken World War II ship be more interesting? It looked kind of hard to know which of the other scuba divers is: Christine, Liam, and Elisa. By they having identical wetsuits. While you Johnathan the diver with the double air hose. Funny where Liam tries to call on one of the phones. Fascinating Liam sitting down at the artillery gun, aimed at the surface. Pretty where Elisa sits on the other side, of the artillery gun. You head over for the mess hall, but all they have is fish.

WW2 wrecks are getting very old now and deteriorating, making most of them rather dangerous to explore. Good to have new ones now and then! A playground for scuba divers!
