The teacher finally got the sense to move the chattering students back. The kids were all creating anxiety to the horse and the teacher was too stupid to move them back and shut them up. No wonder the kids today have no respect or responsibility because they don’t get that from the teachers.

For intel, that group of children are French kids. They were making the horse anxious and discomfort without knowing. The teacher most likely a monitor tell them to get back but he says; le cheval est énervé which means the horse is fed up

@@christophermichaelclarence6003 They should be taught consideration and respect for animals from when they are little. No excuses for their behavior, and the teacher should have reinforced that. Sawdust for brains, it's not entertainment. Also, that individual making high pitched squealing like a banshee should have been moved on, whether it can help it or not. It's highly agitating.

Talk about noise overload. My God that was horrendous !!! Is it any wonder that poor horse wanted to get away from that? That friggin teacher's ignorance and squawking of those kids, would drive anyone batty. That disgusting and maddening behaviour, should have been stopped immediately. Too bad they couldn't hear the slippage of the horse hooves, putting both horse and guard in danger of falling.

@@sandib4234 The horse was bored to tears and wanted, as all horses do, to go be with his herd, go back to his stall or paddock. They are trained like police horses and are not bothered by any noise or fast movement; they will push a crowd with their bodies when asked to do so by the rider.

Glad Buska was there to tell them too LOL....should have also told them to be quiet too when a horse is agitated like that..!! I don't know if the guard noticed but the horses bit shank kept twisting up and top rein was getting caught in the cheek piece.. so it was probably feeling discomfort from that...Glad they took him in x

Any human or any adult who cannot see that the poor horse is in a slight panic mode needs not to be in charge of any children. Everyone should move way back and let the horse calm down because a horse in that condition is dangerous simply because his next move is unknown to anyone including the guard. Wake up and move away from him.

You are correct for most horses. These are special, having been well trained as police horses. They do not respond to any kind of noise or sudden movement. They will use their bodies to move a crowd when asked to do so by the rider.

Try and spare a thought for the family who deal with a child with additional needs 24/7 it's a tough place to be . The child making the noise didn't seem to bother the horse who also seemed un phased by the emergency vehicle siren. What bothered the horse seemed to be large groups in very close proximity. A large group of giddy pre teens and a teacher that is far too laid back was much more of an issue. Our children with additional needs and disabilities are also entitled to participate in the world around them they just communicate it differently.

Parents need to wake up and see who is with their children everyday! This teacher and his group of extremely boisterous students, were ignoring the guard as he warned them again and again! *~~~~* It looked like something was wrong with the horses bit possibly.

Did no one, including the Trooper, see that there was a problem with the horses bit, the rein was somehow caught up on the curb bits. The horse was shaking his head as, I would think, he was feeling very uncomfortable. I totally agree with all the comments about the teacher and kids.

The teacher didn’t tell them to move back someone told him to move back. These horses may be trained for all situations but those school pupils definitely spooked this horse after they left the horse settled. Kudos to the brilliant guard dealing with the situation. Why don’t people respect the occasion instead of insisting on making idiots of themselves.

Suggestion: maybe make a video with the right behaviour that tourist should have with a short explanation. I would share it plenty of times on FB and with freinds and family. And even suggest it to English teachers to show it to their students.

On the left hand side of the bit, the rein has got caught, which may be uncomfortable for the horse, but also means the rider has less control. These horses are not daft either. They know when their shift is coming to an end, and are niggling to get back to their stables. That said, this horse was playing up, and the rider did well to stop the situation from escalating too much.

To be fair, right from the start it was clear that the horse’s hackamore on its left hand side was loose. This would have been causing the horse discomfort and would have been the major reason the horse was unsettled. The kids crowding it and making way too much noise would have exasperated the situation. Perhaps if the hackamore was resituated properly, the horse may have been able to calm back down.

Did anyone notice that perhaps part of the horses agitation was from the twisting of the bit on the left-hand side of his mouth? It’s not sitting properly and the rein can’t function properly. I’m sure it’s putting undue pressure, due to the mechanics of the bit, in the very sensitive areas of the mouth. That’s one angry horse, I don’t blame him. I honestly don’t think that he was reacting to the noise at all. After all, they are used to that and trained accordingly.

Each guard shift lasts for one hour not all day. Each horse does a few hours a week and then the other regiment in the Household Cavalry takes over for a week. So it adds up to a few hours each fortnight. In return they get the highest quality stabling,food,veterinary care, exercise in Hyde Park every day and an annual vacation to the seaside (no joke, they get an annual holiday at the beach). Since warfare has become mechanised these horses have one of the best deals going for their species.

Those horses have been thoroughly trained like police horses. They will not "spook" most sounds or sights. They will push a crowd with their bodies. They will do exactly as they are asked to do. I feel sorry for them to have to stand still in total boredom and the bits look quite severe.

@@virginiamoss7045 Yes, I know. They wouldn't take the crap they do if not desensitised. And the skill and CALM of the rider aids control. Reins and leashes are great conductors of anxiety. Regardless, it's still good protocol to keep the vibe calm when around large animals. Anyone who thinks otherwise has a shock coming sooner or later. A high-pitched excited voice will incite an animal, not calm it. High-pitched voices are how we confirm that an animal has done well and should do it again/more. When around strange animals - animals you don't know - the energy should be low. Animals pick up on vibes we don't even know exist.

The child you hear screaming shows signs of being on the autism spectrum. My grandchild makes those same sounds and he was diagnosed of having autism at the age of three. Bless this child and his family. ❤
