Massive Squall in a Westsail 32 Offshore Raw Footage Video

On a solo sail from South Carolina to Maine I was overtaken by a massive squall system. The winds were in the 30's and waves were thankfully going with the Gulfstream current, so never got too big. It was an exciting ride and I hope you enjoy the video clip.

Awesome clip, thanks for sharing. Always have enjoyed your video adventures. Refreshing to have raw video footage without the mindless chatter and lousy music on most channels. Doubt that is a squall, per se, but just a system moving through. Would be nice to have a third reef in your Mains’l, so you can set small or reefed stays’l.

Triple reefed main? What about using the headsail only?

I find that Sparrow tracks very well with the main on a dead run. If I just use the staysail then I have to be on a broad reach or use the pole to hold the sail out. In those conditions I like not messing around on the bow if possible.
