@@BassingGalBarbara lost my dad three years ago and one of the last things we did together was fish. Enjoy your time with him! Lost both of my parents to cancer by the time I was 31 and I wish I knew to appreciate the time sooner! Anyway, excellent video. I get an adrenalin rush just watching!

I’m so sorry to hear this 💔😢 I’m so lucky to have and be close to both of my parents. So many people lose people before they realize what they have. We always think we have “more time” or “plenty of time” or “we can do that tomorrow.” We’re all learning this year you just never know. At least you have those memories and the last thing you did with him was something that bonded you both...something you both love! He’s ALWAYS with you on the water. Believe that 😉🤗

I am so sorry it took me so long to get back to you but for some reason I did not get a notification. They usually start jumping in smaller schools in October and the bigger schools in November. The last couple of years have not been that great but we are hoping and praying for this year! We aren’t sure if we just didn’t catch the timing right or what happened the last couple of years. we usually don’t chase them on the big water we try to wait until they end up in the creeks, which is usually the middle of November. But if we have a warmer than average fall pattern it could push it out until December. You just never know lol it all depends on the water temperature and what the bait is doing. It can be really frustrating trying to track it and time it but when everything comes together there is nothing that is more fun than catching them top water!

Yes it’s always amazing experiencing it with my Dad. These videos are priceless and the memories mean everything. I bet that was amazing! Those Striper are no joke when they are schooling and busting like that. We can be way down the lake and it’ll look like someone is pushing boulders in the water! So we hammer down...hearts beating fast...stop short to troll over trying to figure out which way they’re headed...it’s SO much fun! I LOVE bass fishing but these Striper trips are always my favorites 😃

Gary Hanson For some stupid reason I had picked up a kind of braid I never use and I think that was a factor. I use #Runcl now and that will be all that I use! I caught some Giants this year and had zero issues.

Braid is stronger and weaker at the same time. Once it gets a knick it breaks easily. I fish 50lb braid to 20lb mono for topwater since mono is more abrasion resistant in that aspect.
