God, I love unhauls. I understand why you'd think it is not interesting content, but to me it has a weird detox effect 😆 I just imagine the space you're gaining in your shelves, and the fact that those books, that you didn't love that much, can be read and appreciated by other people, instead of just sitting there.

My library is a not for profit so it sells most of the donations and flippers like to buy everything and get really aggressive about getting anything "popular" so I give all my friends and family first dibs. I think people over think age ranges for books. I'm a librarian and I recommend YA books to kids as young as 10 and middle grade to people as old as 60. So specifying younger YA is meaningless because it's about what people want to read and once someone is old enough to read Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys, they can choose if they're ready for YA and adult books

If your looking for a recommendation for someone in the lower YA age range I would highly recommend Dreadnought by April Daniels. The protagonist in the book is 15 and is going through changes more relatable to people coming out of middle school and entering high school. I will say the second book in this series Sovereign does get a bit dark so I would take care in that regard, but it is a brilliant book and works perfectly for a very underserved age category.
