@@shirkhan3818 I've probably been saved by more kt's than I can remember, so I don't actually have any idea of what your talking about. If you did save a jagtiger, I thank you. Even if you didn't save me, the heavies need all the help they can get.
This thing is essentially a Japanese typhoon. Turns well, climbs well, dives well, kinda fast, rolls like a brick, compresses at high speed, AWESOME GUNS
Also this makes fighting Zero absolute PITA. You can't just get him into high speed combat, because A6M5 will just pull 13G at 700IAS like it's nothing. In other words -Fw 190, F4U or P-51 can go faster, but their ability to compress much later than Zero is not present in game. So it's all about speed, firepower and climb rate, since you are NOT going to EVER outmaneuver Zero, unless the guy is so clueless he's basically helping you win.
@@rainsilent I play since 2013. This was never a thing what you said. US winning with dive and axis crash to the ground? Never happened. But you're right that the Zeros should lock.
@@rainsilent What also bothers me is the Zeros pulling 13-14G-s with every turns. In reality, the average G pulling pilots were able to do is 7G. So IMO. Gaijin should control this. With ace crew you could pull 9G at max. With potato crew 6G at max. But never 13-14Gs. I don't mind Zeros, they never kill me, they're just free kills. I find them fucking sad, because the A6M5 Otsu should be 4.3 and everything else below that. But they really need some historical correction.
@@rainsilent Well, US would surely dominate everything at high BR if things would become more "historical". Is it a bad thing or not? Would be hard to tell, considering that US teams in the air are like German teams on the ground. And giving US free reign over high BR would only increase amount of braindead players that play US because it is just better than everything else. All in all it is hard to say which way is better, considering that RB, while labeled "realistic" is still arcadey as hell, and for this reason balance is more important than accuracy.
The A7M1, A7M2 and Ki-100 are right up there as some of my favorite planes on the game. My #1 beloved plane is definitely the P-38-L0. I have some monster games in that plane.
This has always been my favorite Japanese plane. Always reminded of the old F6F-3 FM. So I’ve thought of it as a Japanese Hellcat. Obviously much better acceleration and MER but whatever. Too bad it’s another plane that lives in the Ju288 F2G 6v6 black hole. Fun fact though it was introduced at 3.7 facing ground spawned P40s with an air spawn lol. Right along with the N1K1ja, which also didn’t have the weight or drag for the gun pods modeled. Total ufos lmao.
I freaking love this plane, feels like a faster Zero, I coincidentally been playing it a lot lately and i have been able to pull some bullshit in a 1v3 dogfight lmao
@@pandoranbias1622 Yeah that's why i don't like the japanese's army 30mm in the Ki-84 line since they have too high rate of fire, the ammo pool disappears in few bursts
What's hilarious is that the Skyraider and _especially_ the Mauler are very competent fighters given thier attacker status. So if you play your cards right (again especially the Mauler, which is better than the Skyraider, fight me) you can end the match with an average of around 3 kills, and still have a decent armament to to ground pounding in both Air and Ground battles.
Having literally gotten this thing an hour ago, it is a beast. It’s just a way better P-47, in that while it’s a bit heavy and “big boned” it is powerful in its element and can dictate the terms and services of your funeral. Had been using the Ki-61-II to get it so going from that to this was whiplash like no other.
The biggest thing I found that makes the A7 hard was p-51Hs in full uptiers, if they used their speed properly, just nothing you can do sometimes, especially with 2 or more of them all wanting you, just get drained on energy and cleaned up. Some of it was definitely me not being a master baiter such as yourself, but I think I can at least tell when I am in a very bad situation, trying to not sound arrogant though.
Yeah idk why it also happened to me, they burn the fuel tanks in the wing in a couple seconds and then I just e get a damaged/yellow wing but nothing else
10:21 Almost makes you wonder if we need a ticket system in Air RB. Why can't a victory simply be decided by: A - killing everyone on the enemy team, B - having more players than the enemy team at the end of the match, C - destroying their airbase. The ticket system seems to favour game-modes where you have to capture a key point, which obviously poorly translates into Air RB... I'm more than happy to hear everyone's thoughts in the replies.
destroying airbase shouldnt end the battle either, just disable enemy planes from being able to reload/repair. As to what the purpose of bombers would be then, they could just add more targets to go for.
@@threemountainsgaming7560 - Then you might as well remove attackers from the game because they'd serve no purpose. Obviously the system is poorly implemented but I don't see why ground targets shouldn't matter at all.
they should just split Air RB into an air superiority mode and put Air RB EC back for bombing bases and more strategic stuff (basically air sim but with air rb's controls). I think that would also make attackers and bombers a bit more viable tho since spotting from 5km would not be a thing
@@threemountainsgaming7560 I both disagree and agree with what you said. As @Eric B. already mentioned, making ground targets pointless somewhat nullifies the presence of attackers in Air RB. I obviously agree with the ticket system sucking. Maybe ground targets could only serve a small purpose as being a source of RP and SL. The problem I have with this suggestion, though, is that you have to find a very fine balance for the rewards given by eliminating ground targets. Too many rewards, and suddenly everyone is flying an attacker. Too low, and there is truly no purpose to flying an attacker. Or perhaps a game could end if ALL of the ground targets were destroyed (excluding airfield AAA). Although, I don't think this is a perfect solution, as some maps have too few ground targets; some even have the annoying thing of one side having tanks whilst the other side only has soft targets. Also, everyone could main an attacker and race to kill all the ground units before the enemy team
Another thing you have to be aware of is how far away the guns are from the fuselage. Trying to kill someone who is super close to you is not so easy when running gun convergence past 400m. But then you also have to consider that these guns are very good for long range shooting, and you can easily kill people 1km away.
Man the desync has been horrendous lately. To a point that sometimes the enemy can be pointing their plane into a completely distant angle and still massacre your elevator controls or engine. But that's no big issue, since we'll probably have some new premium to buy real soon, right?
Man attacker players kill denying is hilarious because they rather sit in the menus for 10minutes than get killed in a video game, kind of a strange ego lol. Also getting crew lock is counter intuitive if they want EXP faster, just take the death ☠️
i agree with you, but i deny kills everytime. i have many other planes and crews to play next, so the crew lock doesnt really bother me. what bothers me is a free kill to other player so i prefer to deny him :)
@@lethao8731 I forget if it is the air or ground one I use. Whichever one has the most explosive. I believe every wartime Japanese rocket can use fuse.
Japanese plane is good but too boring when I have to chase a fleeing enemies. A7M2 is less painful in that case. Enough ammo with fine bullet speed gun make it easy to snipe enemies + A7M2 Is really good spitfire hunter, so it helps entire team
@@lethao8731 it also dives better and is more effective at booming and zooming. It lacks the roll rate but the turn rate is serviceable and you don’t drain energy like a bitch unlike the A6m.
I think half of the game is psychological warfare. I've been faking moves for so long, it's the way I naturally fight now. Japanese props seem to be the best for pretending like you're an idiot, to lure people in.
pls tell me how u txting in the chat and why i cant do that, btw i have war thunder on steam for free and is that the reason? or why we cant chat ? P.S. nice dogfight in the end with f2u
While it isn't exactly horrible for a 5.7, the Yak-9UT is a bit underwhelming. It has the exact same flight model as the regular Yak-9U, which sits a whole 1.0 BR below it, just with different guns. While the 9U was insane at 4.3 and still REALLY good at 4.7, the same flight model doesn't hold up quite as well at 5.7.
I just got an ad, for this video, for a Corsair movie titled "Devotion". The CGI mixed with real footage looked pretty good. I wasn't entirely sure if they were ground pounding Japanese or North Koreans.
