Thank you Mahesh. I learned some great tips about fine tuning my mustache. My sides are kept short already. I am going to try the V parting of my mustache and maybe a bit of a balm to help message it to the sides. ✌️
I have a handlebar stache for some time now, and I found out the grooming by myself. Nice to see it confirmed here. Especially about what to do with the middle part. Thank you.
Blessings brother, thanks for the info... I love your vibes!! After watching this video I feel like I just got done meditating.. just like a Bob Ross video ☺
I've had a beard for years but since July 2019 I've got a bald patch in it and it's getting bigger to the point I've shaved off to a goatee , really annoying me , any tips ?
Matthew O'Reilly. I was so uneasy at 1st cuss I don’t like to trim certain parts of my beard, but after listening all the way through holy shit I wanna try it 😂
I have heard others say yo just let it grow past the awkward stage. The "little hairs" left alone become longer hairs, and it makes the mustache look beefy and full.
The best tips I can leave you men, comb the mustache, train the hairs, most importantly, DONT PLAY WITH IT ALL DAY AND BITE ON IT,PULL IT ETC, I see so many people with oral fixations do this and it stays one length or gets patchy. Leave it be and let God show you your genetics
You're totally right its the mustache not the beard that gets food/drink. Could you please do a video showing us how to do the mustache trim you mentioned. I get what you are saying, but I'd love to visualize it to really understand. Thanks
I don't want to sharpen it above the lips by a scissor because it would reduce the thickness and look weird i guess. Can we just use some wax to comb it sideways so it adds to the thickness ?
So mine naturally goes into a sort of handlebar shape it does the up curve itself is that because it doesn't grow in the bridge anyway 😂 so I have the natural v cut.
Did you find that your mustache started to grow in just as your head hair started to check out? That’s what happened to me haha. I was 32 years old and I swear the day I realized I could probably grow a decent mustache was the day I noticed my crown showing thru. Haha. Young guys always compliment my mustache and say things like “I wish I could grow one” ... I can always see the roller coaster of emotion on their face when I tell them it happens 30+.... and when you head starts to bald. Haha. Thanks for the video.
Mine grows unevenly and it drives me nuts. Left side: perfect curl, thick, manageable. Right side: unruly, whispy, needs half a tin of wax to tame. I smoke, and I hold my cigs on the right side. Could that have an effect?
I wish people would stop using the term master barber There is no such thing. Either you have a full license or its restricted. No way that you can master every service you are always learning and growing.
#beardbrand. I take it you don’t like the Boston wailer....lol. I have my first competition coming up in a couple weeks and have always had bad luck trying to do my stache. I’m going to a professional barber next week to see what he can do. I’m hoping for the English stache. Wish me luck
I’ve been blessed with horrible cheek and neck growth. However. God has graced me with not only the fervor to rock a stache, but a much thicker upper lip than my brother and father who have great beards. However I need tips on eating burgers and sandwiches and etc with a stache. Even with it waxed and combed it can be a painful experience
Any tips for someone with a mustache that is growing in now but in different directions. Send to grow up in some areas and down in others. the ends of my mustache are growing a little bit longer than the rest so that I can connect it to the beard but I don't know if that is necessarily the right way to do it. I seem to keep right above the lip shorter. I want to grow it out a little bit but I do not want it in my mouth that bothers me LOL
Any advice for the shape under the nose? I cannot figure out if I should be letting it grow out or trimming the hairs that populate and tend to shoot outward around the edges of the nose. I’m thinking I let it grow and then I can blend it in? Otherwise I need to trim it and shape it out from directly under the middle of the nose? Hard to explain? Any suggestions???
Thanks! As with many guys, I can grow a decent beard, but again it's the moustache that appears vestigial compared with the beard. I used to have just the tache and it was a 1/2 decent size, so I really appreciate those guys who have BOTH the big beard and tache as it's not an easy thing to get - and we know the various reasons for that now.
Is there any shame in dying your mustache? I have very dark brown, almost black hair on my head but my mustache is growing in light brown with touches of dark red in it. Looks a bit out of place to me to where I've been asked if I've dyed my mustache red before. Any tips?
Had a trimmed marstosh ( heh heh ) for forty years, but have only recently decided to release it into the wild, looks a bit Sam Elliot but not quite there yet, it is a hungry swine at mealtimes and I am scared now of trimming. No Barbers near me I would trust !! Will take your advice on doing the underneath.
Interesting. Don't have any barbershop around my city for beard or mustache trimming. But the underneath hairs definitely get in my coffee and my food quite abit. It's been the biggest problem I have had since growing out my mustache
I live in Philadelphia, PA. tons of barbers and stylists around me... but I can't find one that I know is skilled with modern beard and mustache styling/grooming. Any suggestions or tips for finding someone knowledgeable in the area? I have a full handlebar right now and have no clue what to do with it style wise or maintenance wise - it's been trimmed once since growing it last october (and poorly).
These are good tips for getting that particular mustache style. However, that’s the furthest from the way I like mine. Mine is a thick chevron style Magnum PI stache with a very small part. Requires daily trimming of strays to have it looking right. My stache naturally curls up at the smile line if I let it, but I like the 80s stache best.
My stache I'm growing out trying to get a handlebar but no matter what I try to do I cannot control the right side it frays out every direction even with stache wax please any other information I could try ?
I Want Lee If you have dark hair get some dark wax. When mine was coming in it was lighter than my hair and a bit reddish and it was still a bit thin, the dark wax helped make it look better till it filled out.
Great video! Very informative. Do you have any tips for when looking for a proper barber? The barbers in my area don't know how to trim a mustache or beard. I have tried several, bringing photos of the style I want just to have my beard and moustache mangled. These are not the same babers my dad went to when I was a young.
