They're both very duty-bound characters. Chief to humanity, and the Slayer to the mistakes he made in the back story. They'd both have a common understanding of "These things are evil, and need to die," and we know that both Chief and the Slayer still have compassion, even after all they've been through. I think the main friction would be tactical: Chief would be in favor of a more cautious, considered approach, whereas the Slayer would be more interested in charging in and getting to grips with the enemy.

He doesn't need a strategy because his enemies don't have a strategy. The Covenant are much more intelligent then demons and arguably a more powerful enemy due to their far more advanced technology. Where the demons have the upper hand in sheer numbers. If doom slayer just charged into the high charity I don't think he would get all that far.

But once doom guy got his blessings and armor and became known as doomslayer... chiefs odds went out the window. Maybe getting doomslayer to tank a ring or multiple rings firing would do him in. But beside that, not much in halo universe has a chance.

There's even a moment where the Gravemind reveals to the Forerunners that it and everything it infects experiences time differently--the Gravemind knew about the Halo array, he knew it was going to fire, he shed light on this. The books also mention how the Precursors have existed in many forms, some of which were merely spiritual, some bound to the surface of a planet, some spacefaring, etc. etc. the Domain itself is also kind of a separate universe branched out by the Precursors for storing knowledge that the Domain(somewhat of a Precursor AI and database used by Forerunners but locked when they betrayed the Precursors) held and when the Halo array first fired, destroyed the physical form of the Domain, called the Organon. Keyminds are merely tools of the Gravemind, it's shown that Flood forms have a sense of identity, but they were still just tools for the early stage Gravemind. The Gravemind at times in the Halo games has created Precursor tech and literally opened portals in space at a whim to do what he wants. In the Forerunner-Flood war, the Gravemind used Star Roads he left laying around to completely demolish the greater Ark upon arriving. It's clear that the Gravemind has to build up his power before reaching true tier-0 but the Precursors represent what a tier-0 Gravemind would be like.

Safe to say that if you plunge MC into Hell, he might last for quite a bit of time... but The Slayer fought there for centuries nonstop and made demons shit themselves. Put The Slayer against the Covenant/Flood, well, much ripping and tearing will ensue. He will do good, until it is done.

Even though Doom guy can rip guys in half, Master Chief is able to flip over Scorpion tanks with one hand (which is canon btw, not just a gameplay function). I feel like strategy and intellect should play a hand in this as well. Master Chief could easily outsmart doom guy in a fight. Doom guys strategy is to aggressively attack head on, while Master Chief has an estimated IQ of 145. Also, even though Doom guy obviously seems faster in gameplay, Master Chief has a top running speed of about 34-35 mph without armor and can run about 40mph with armor. Idk it just seems like master chief is a more impressive physical specimen than doom guy. Admittedly I'm pretty biased towards master chief cause I think he's awesome. Dont get me wrong, doom guy is pretty cool as well. I just think that it's definatley a stretch to say that doom guy would 'curbstomp' master chief. Realistically, it's a very close match

+Jacon Adams MC can run 34-35 without armour and 40 with his armour, but DG can run 90 with or without armour if he's using haste, is invincible while using the ability of the same name, his physical strength is increased to nigh uncomprehensible levels during berzerk, quad damage is said to be so strong that someone decapitated 3 ppl with nothing but a pocket knife according to a lore entry, and if you want to include a power-up from multiplayer only mode he also can heal himself for substancial amount. And all of this is completely moot point given he took on the litteral lord of hell, the garguantan titan, bare handed with no suit or any mention of the ability usage and won in a 1 vs Titan and litteral armies of demons trying to stop him. MC might be good soldier, but he's always had help. Xperia even mentions in the video he's struggled against covant foot soldiers at times, and got lucky in others. MC is hard to kill, but has been wounded on more than one occasion. DG on the other hand had to be tricked and sealed away to stop his litteral mileninas long non-stop genocidal rampage against the demons in hell.

@@jacobadams8757 The thing is though, while Chief's running speed is impressive. Doomguy's standard running speed is around 60mph and his top speed being around 90mph. And as for strength, while Chief's strength is also impressive, Doomguy is also stronger. In less than 2 seconds he breaks through his shackles with bicep curls. The amount of strength it would take to do that is beyond human, and that's assuming the chains are made out of Iron (the sarcophagus was made by Demons). Then there's the fact that without his suit & armed with just a sword, he fought & killed the Titan, the second most powerful Demon in Hell. Chief has some incredible feats but unless he's fought a Guardian without his armour & only wielding an Energy Sword, it's safe to say that Doomguy is the strongest. And while Doomguy cares more about brutality, he's not dumb. But while Chief is definitely better when it comes to CQC, Doomguy has too many advantages that makes the whole fight unfair for Chief. His impenetrable suit, his deadlier weapons, his ridiculous speed, his demi-god-like strength, etc. And even if he does die, he just goes back to hell & his slaughter continues.
