Throné and Hikari of course, but as a huge surprise, Osvalt has grown on me substantially. I didn’t expect that at all. I didn’t realize there was so much magic behind the scholar role as I’d never played the first one so not sure if that was something I missed. Also, Ochette and her battle cries have given me reason to live lol they’re so goddang adorable! This game is a blast! As a woman I knew I wanted to start with a female main protagonist, but I was so happy to see that all 4 female characters are all amazing with good to excellent stories and great skills! I was so happy to see they were so much more than relegated to just a basic healer or a “sexy” side character. Their stories have them so much more than just an “attractive female” role, and they’re not damsels in distress. I’m for sure going back to play the first one once I’m done with this one.
@1:18 the amount of health remaining can be estimated from its color being white (100%-75), yellow (74%-50%) and red (49%-1%). Not just White and red like u mentioned. You are actually able to see a numerical value of enemy health too if u scan them using a Scholar Skill. This also can reveal one weak point or more if you use a boost before scanning
you can boost your latent power as well, although some it doesn't really do much with extra boost. Something like Ochette animal instinct is good to boost.
Turn based is so great. Final fantasy 15 was alright and I did love 16 but God nothing beats the old turn based. So much better having to use strategy and skill instead of just mashing buttons like 16 and ff7 remake.
I recently tried the game and I got confused during combat because the enemies had no health bar and I had no idea on when should I do a normal attack and when should I go for a high damage skill
So your characters are small pixels vs bigger HD lookin enemies, I always hated that style, I'll stick to fire emblem & things like that, break systems really ruins it, why couldn't it just be turn based & enemies be the same size as your characters
