Question i hope you see it but how many holes does the distribution tube have?

I bought a used Master Cool model MMB14B I took the side panels off and then apart to remove the old pads. Each side panel has 2 metal shields that fit (I believe) across the top of the pad. I forgot how to re-assemble those shields while replacing the new filters. Can anyone direct me to a video or a diagram so that I can look closely at it ?

why didnt you just use vinegar to remove all the calcium from the pads.save your self 100 bucks.
