This is an old comment, but fun fact: this is actually a fan translation! Puyo Puyo Sun was never released in English. The fully translated game for the PC is free to download online.
Also Arle says "Hey, oh it's you Schezo, at first I didn't know who it was." I get that it's a joke about Schezo's sun burn but it's kind of all over the place, and if you hadn't already played Arle's story mode you wouldn't even know it's a sun burn it just looks like a lot of the other skin colours in the game. How does that transition into Arle saying "I've always been way hotter than you." It doesn't really make any sense in regards to the previous conversation, just more ways to trample on Schezo's self-esteem I guess.
I think it's a mistranslation. I'm currently studying Japanese, I'm not good at it, but I think the dialogue actually goes somewhat like this: Arle: "Oh, Schezo. I couldn't recognize you because you tanned so much." Schezo: "Mm, you speak of such a thing?!" Arle: "Eh? Why? You definitely look WAY cooler like this."
Schezo brought that sheath for his sword just to look cool in the combo animation didn't he? I mean he just summon it at will so there isn't really much of a point.
I think the second you beat Puyo Puyo Sun with no losses on the Master difficulty and on Schezo's mode at that I think you're automatically a master even if you aren't on this council.
Still exists, particularly when Schezo's in focus. The official English version of Puyo Puyo Tetris uses the term "creeper" instead, which means the same thing. It got to the point where Schezo was introduced within Puyo Puyo Tetris' story through his trademark running gag; apparently, Schezo was so used to being called a pervert/creeper, that Arle had to just call him one, in order to get him to appear (she was searching for him at the time, for help with something). It almost didn't work, until...
It's because the series has been sold out to SEGA (and Compile Heart), and the original creators, who are Compile, are gone. None of the staff works on either Madou monogatari or Puyo Puyo since around 1999 or so. SEGA only shat on every aspect of the franchise, and is no better than a "licensed fanfiction". But the SEGA stuff is the only thing the little kids know today, which is not really their fault.
no joke, this version's schezo was probably one of the best. I mean I love Sega schezo, but this one is just top tier also 12:44 damn the music became so dramatic
I hate how rulue's AI is programmed!! She only make a 4 puyo attack!! The basic attack... Even at the master difficulty... Is rare to watch her doing a chain... Is just meh!! Meanwhile I loved how the frog made large and powerful chains...
