Would the shaded area equation apply if the shaded area was a right angled triangle?

I can’t see it but was there a correction on the perimeter for the 3rd shape Shaded area 22+14 resulting in 26

Is perimeter of shaded region proceed for square shape?

How can we express the answer as function?

Dumb question but does this work on a graphed rectangle? Or is there a specific video for it?
