When in your example you boast the middle floor will it not also boast any other floor to the temprature the radiator valve is set at or will it set any valve not mentioned to it's lowest value. If it does I assume you would need to set all your othe valves to a very low temprature.

Great video. In the process of changing our heating system to hive with smart trv’s. Can I ask for some help and advice, how many trv’s can you connect to one hive thermostat? We have 12 rads! Can you use rechargeable batteries in the trv’s? What’s better hive original or mini thermostat?

Hive original is better & more expensive. The mini can only be programmed via the phone the original you can do everything in the thermostat or via the phone. I've installed over 17 hive TRVs and that was ok. I don't see why you can't use rechargeable batteries. Cheers

@@mendyourhome Thank you. I spoke with Hive and apparently the rechargeable batteries have a lower discharge voltage than normal batteries which make the trv’s not work to full capacity? Have the Hive and trv’s. Now just to work out how to wire the receiver to the combo boiler!
