willy big fan you got me running from day 1, yrs ago some tips i learned. if you have alot of surface area on monotub and the green monster appears , if you are in the casing layer process of your grow always keep extra because if it starts to mold and u still want that first flush and not waste ur time or ruin all your other runs with the release of the green monster spores u simple put some casing on the spot, like a filter.. continue watering, after 2 days it will rise, u simple put more casing on the spot you will get a flush and not contaminate the others but it needs to go after that. it works with a second flush as well if the mold starts after you picked your first flush.. Also big news , !!!!electroculture!!!!! doing electroculture has vastly increased my growing experience, i only started it this yr and my babies are averaging 8in tall and biggest cap being 9in diameter, so far my yields are ridiculously on the 4th run. try it , all you need it a small copper rod, then get copper wire and wrap cone shape stick 4 small versions in the mycelium as u mix substrate n spawn.

I'm about to start my first shoe box(s) with the Uncle Bens tek. I was wondering if adding 10 ccs of sterile water to the bag and letting it make contact with the mycillium and then drawing it out to make a LC syringe is ok. Right after doing this draw of fluid I would then open the bags and make my shoe boxes. Good or bad idea?
I need to get myself down with making agar plates and using them to inoculate my grows. This will help with getting the best genetics and being able to use live mycelium on my bird seed, etc. It will be helpful all around.
I hear people delivering and having all sorts of stuff and so far 3 out of 3 were bullshit fakes. Just there to steal crypto. May as well just learn to grow your own. I still don't see why this is better than LC?? I love LC and after watching this, Im still not conveniced this is better, and its definately more work than LC.
Do a streak plate with your LC so that way you can individual colonies to rule out contamination. The more you do LC the better you'll get at it. Aseptic technique is crucial! LC grows up huge number of fungal cells to heavily inoculate your substrate. Cheers.
@@trevorbraden5448 he just means make a plain agar Petri dish and use an inoculating loop, dip it into the liquid culture and streak it across the surface of the agar Petri dish. The mycelium in the liquid culture should only grow white mycelium along the surface of the agar that you streaked onto it, and you will know that you have a clean liquid culture. If you see strange colors or any irregularities, then you almost definitely have contaminated liquid culture.

i personaly keep all my agarplates in my SAB until i use them. Its at roomtemperature (around 20°C) and some of them are 2 month old and work great after inoculation. The only thing you have to keep an eye on is the humidity inside the petries, so i do my Agarmix like Yoshi Amano do: 1g Yeast, 7g LightMaltExtract, 7g AgarAgar at 500ml Water. This way its a bit softer and contain more moisture and the overall work is easier like the transfer from one to an another petrie. Such an AgarJar i would keep it inside a sealed TupperWareContainer or similar as long as it has a AirTightSeal to keep the moisture inside.
So I really love this method.... my problem is I only have sore prints right now....and it's almost impossible to get the spores In the jar with out them blowing away.... I have a flow hood..... any tricks to make that easier
my first 4 liquid cultures i got were contam, and i thought i was doing something wrong and not being clean enough, then i got some agar, and never had a problem. spent so much time and useless money over this
@uglyvance9004 no I mean instead of getting a liquid culture from who I was getting them from. I got some agar from a buddy then used that to inoculate, to see if my contam was truly coming from my grain or liquid cultures I was getting. I guess I should have clarified that part lol.
Yes put it in before sterilizing the LC solution. Or a marble where you can shake it, depending if you have a filter patch or just a self sealing injection port. But if you have a magnetic stirrer then no worries if it has a patch since it's being stirred, not shaken
So is this just agar in a mason jar then? How are you supposed to get it out later? And how is this better then LC when it looks like it's just agar in a mason jar?
If it goes cloudy in 24 hours it’s contaminated with mold , if it’s cloudy in 5-6 days it’s bacteria I’ve never had any jars contaminated throwing away cloudy lc jars

You can just scruff the top of your colonised agar dish and then add a Lil demineralised/sterile water ,draw that up in a syringe and inject that into the lc jar ,less chance of contamination as your not removing the lid?

bro everything has a 100% success rate if done right SMH contamination comes from messing something up or not having a strict enough M.O. and slurry needs the stricter protocols because its so prone to contamination. JS
Dude im as so effin confused u told us to make regular agar mix>then pour in 50ml of agar mix >then said "once your agara mix i n the jars go ahead and add your agar and fill the jars with agar?" Tf r u taking about dude whats the point of measuring 50ml if your just going to fill it up and pc it like normal agar im so confused here. MAkibg it into miltiple parts even worse. Ill stick to normal lc unless i can get a better explanation why this is better? Isnt this regular agar wont the mix harden? so confusing
