Those shmups look soooo good! I totally agree and I think Dangerous Demolition could be low key really fun. Lots of great games that people are still making. I wish I could create a game. Thanks for watching buddy!
Hope someone makes more RPGs for the Master System. I know it doesn't have a save feature but passwords are optional. Other than that these games looks badass. I give these creators an applause for their work.
I would love to see more RPGs on the Master System. I think that's one department that it lacks in. Good input with the password feature and I agree that it should be implemented. It was fun putting this video together. Thanks for watching!
No thank you for the content. It just makes me want to play them all. I doubt people will make any rpg due to the complications of the password schematics and how will that work and all. Never know. maybe someone could make one and just say use a emulator to save which is my best answer on that. @@TigerChainsawVideoGames
@@Solidier1 Well Golden Axe Warrior did come with a battery + Sram to save your game. So did: - Ys: Ancient Ys Vanished Omen - Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord - Phantasy Star - Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar All RPGs for the master system, using carts containing a battery for saving your progress.
I’ll be honest, I never realized the SMS had a homebrew scene, but some of these look really fun! Extreme Volleyball Infernal League looks neat, and love that it has a character select screen akin to the first Mortal Kombat game! Heroes Against Demons looks very rich in detail for an SMS game as well. SKBN actually looks like a fun puzzle game I’d invest time in for sure, and Mecha8 looks like a sick shmup! Donkey is a very interesting name for a game, especially for the type of game it is lol. Also, hell yes about Sydney Hunter! I have one of them for the Switch, and loved that game! Great video as always man! I’ll need to find a way to check some of these out 👍.
I wasn't sure how many physical homebrews I'd be able to find but was pleasantly surprised by the amount that were offered. Extreme Volleyball Infernal League does look really fun. I thought Flight of Pigarus and Mecha8 looked great and lowkey I think Dangerous Demolition could be a ton of fun with the brick-breaking mechanics. Donkey.... looks a bit rough haha but it's more than what I could do. That's interesting that you've played Sydney Hunter. I had heard of the IP before but never knew whether it was a cartoon, video game or books. Super cool that you've played a version of it on the Switch! Thanks for watching buddy.
Brilliant video buddy. Great job of highlighting these games and the hard work the Master System community continues to make and develop. These are some of my favourite games on the system. Thanks for the shout out at the end, very kind although I really just pointed you in the right direction ❤ #MasterSystemMonday #MasterSystemForever
Thanks my friend! You definitely gave me some great info and I'm very appreciative to be able to pick your brain on the console. I love the SMS community, such a passionate fan base. Thanks for watching!
It’s cool that people are talented enough to make these even though most of them don’t look very fun. I think the Sydney hunter and the sorceress one look the best! Another great video
I need you and Oli to come up with a cool homebrew for the SMS! You two have a huge wealth of knowledge and I bet could make a pretty fun game. Thanks for watching!
Oh boy, you should give it a shot for sure! There's some pretty sweet console exclusives to it and you can see the building blocks for the Genesis. Collecting is easy for the system as the games were kept in plastic shells that have held up great over time. Thanks for watching buddy!
This was awesome! I like learning about new games released on older consoles! That puzzle game at the beginning looks really fun! I hope to see a homebrew part 2 in the future! Great video and keep up the good work!
I am so jealous people have the talent to create games. I wish I was knowledgeable enough to make homebrews. There were a few that looked really cool. Thanks for watching buddy!
Thank you for all the gameplay footage that you showcased! Because of your channel I was able to get a good idea of these games and then explain them to others. I really appreciate you uploading it and made sure to give you credit on all the footage. It's great to meet other SMS fans and experts. Thanks for watching!
I think the most surprising thing I learned from watching this video was that INTELLIVISION is still around?! God, that name takes me back… …back to the history books…where I learned of it…not having actually played it… 👀😅
Yeah I don't know if it's a cult or what but there are some passionate people out there still making games in the name of Intellivision haha. Thanks for watching my guy, curious on what your Halloween costume will be....
flight of pigarus looks amazing but really makes me wonder at the same time. The graphics look very fresh and modern and I am like: wow so this is all possible on the SMS? Like I did not know it could show so many colours at once or something but I guess it is just because of the art style and it is weird that old games look older not because of the hardware but because people used to do pixel art differently back then. I hope anyone gets what I am trying to say here.
I understand what you mean, it looks much more modern for 8-bit graphics. Pretty incredible what they were able to do. When I saw it, I thought the same thing. Lots of amazing programmers out there. Thanks for watching, friend!
I love a legit homebrew that keeps an old console alive! I only own some for the NES and I've played some for all the Nintendo consoles from the Wii and before. Bara Buru reminds me a little of Bubble Bobble 😀 SKBN has 1,736?!?! Holy Crap! I like a good Sokoban game, but I don't think I could get through all that, haha EVIL Volleyball! Haha, I love it! Alex Kidd Miracle World 2 looks legit! Nice! @9:51 Amen! Actually, that could be a good t-shirt design! "Man I miss physical manuals" with a kid laying on the floor, the TV off to one side with a game on, but the kid is turned away from the TV with their nose buried in a manual. I'd wear a shirt like that 😀
Homebrews are super cool and I'm jealous of those who are talented enough to make them. I made a video about NES Homebrews and then I was thinking... hey I wonder if there are some for the SMS too! Never knew the Wii had homebrews, that's wild. LOL I literally say that Bara Buru has Bubble Bobble like action in my dialogue!! The evil volleyball game looks like a ton of fun and Alex Kidd in Miracle World 2 is incredible. This was fun and it's very cool to see what people are able to do when they put their minds to it. Thanks for watching!
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames lol, I get so excited to start typing something, that I don't listen fully to the video O_o I always have the comment box open while I'm watching so I can write out my stream of consciousness as I watch, but it means I miss things too, lol
I hate it when Satan shows up and ruins my volleyball game. And the only donkey I know is a donkey punch. But I'm all seriousness the first puzzle game looks dope as hell
You never know when the devil is going to show up. Lol that donkey game looks.... rough... but it's a million times more impressive than what I could do. Thanks for watching! I think the Dangerous Demolition game looks super fun.
I can only play a Sega Master system game if I can use a Sega Genesis controller. I need a START button on the controller, and I don't mind the 3 buttons. Playing without a Start or Pause on the controller makes no sense to me. I need to have a Pause button, please for the love of god.
Haha it's true they weren't very forward thinking when designing the pause button on the console in the 80s. I think they just assumed gamers sat right next to the console but either way, that was a mistake.
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames Also the box art and cartridge artwork was a little bland. Part of the fun of NES games is looking at the sticker artwork on the cartridges.
Hey there, yeah looks like a few are sold out at the moment. I put the links up so people can check back routinely and at least know where to purchase them if they were interested. Looks like they are always making new production runs for some of the games. Hopefully they are back in stock soon and at least you know who offers what. Thanks for watching.
Oh man, they are selling like hotcakes! Keep checking back and hopefully they become restocked. I know there were a few of them that I wanted too that were sold out. Thanks for watching!
