Very helpful but there is one detail I can’t find in the packet how many guns can each ship mount

That's a good question, and I probably should have included a base for that. The problem though is that it would vary so much between ships, like a brigantine built for cargo or passenger space wouldn't have room for as many, whereas a brigantine built for war might have two full gun decks. Your best bet would be to find a picture of a ship fitting the description of what you're using in game, then try and count the gun ports. If I had to give a rough base line I'd say between 4-6 per side for a basic sloop, 8-10 per side for a brigantine, and 10-12 per gun deck per side for a galleon. There could obviously be way more on a realistic ship, but to haul the kind of loot players would be hauling, they'd need a lot of cargo space.

Question, as I have the pack and gone through it, but I cannot see how you work put how many cannons each ship type can manage hold and use ??

I didn't include specifics on how many cannons a ship can hold/use, mostly because that is going to vary so widely depending on how it was built, its intended purpose, etc. A cargo sloop might only have mounts/spots for a single cannon on each side, where a sloop of war might be set up for 6-8 on each side. The number of cannons a ship can hold/use should usually be determined by the dungeon master, though I recognize I could have included a good base range...
