Thanks for this! Can you do a tutorial for blending contrasting colours e.g. purple and orange? Or is that not recommended? I tried blending those colours and it didn't work as well as I hoped but I don't know if it's me or if it's not possible to blend colours that aren't similar to each other!

So you need to think back to primary school. Using this technique, you are mixing two colours together using both their inks, trying to get the 'blend' to be a mix of the two colours. Ie Red into Orange (it makes a more reddy orange), yellow into green (a lighter green), etc. If you were to try and mix orange and purple, it'd probably make some sort of brown? So using this technique it wouldn't look great. It's absolutely possible though, you just need to use some different tools. The aqua brush included in the pen set can be used to help you achieve this blend, and I can film a tutorial showing you how to do that if you like? :)
