Launders do you think there is a lowest possible effective DPI for players to play KZ maps? Like if a player use 1.4 sensitivity 400 DPI would it be physically impossible for the player to finish certain KZ maps?
@@Yu-ej1cy I played on 1.4/400 for a very long time but I didn’t kz as much. While it’s still possible it’s definitely not as fun or easy and way harder to set personal best times. I also found it was quite bad for my shoulder to have a low sens and kz but that could be because of my own anatomy and how I sit. The lowest sens where I don’t feel hindered in terms of setting pbs/turning etc was 2.2/400 but everyone’s different. I have been on 2.8/400 since January and personally feel the best current in both comp and kz but everyone’s different. I hope that helps.
thats great and all but PLEASE dont think that whats shown in this vid is what ppl mean when they say some1 has bad/good movement. These thing are extremely situational and wont help you at all in a large number of fights. The movement you should be focussing on as a beginner is not some crazy kz-shit but strafing, firing while strafing and using movement to peek (with shoulderpeeks, jiggles, fast crouchpeeks, how to bait out an awper with a strafejump shoulderpeek, etc.) THOSE are the things that actually win you gunfights especially early on. Im about 99% sure you wont find any dmg scrub with an awp who cannot be baited into shooting with a strafejump just for you to have an ez peek on someone who cant fire back.
Even though all I want is the aim of a God coupled with the movement of a Silver, this tutorial might actually inspire me to be less useless. Lau always delivering the goods!
High quality tutorial, loved the editing it made it so much fun to watch, and I like that you highlight transitioning over to competitive mode. I'm a bit perplexed that we call it "air strafing" instead of just "strafing". Strafing for me has no fundamental value when it isn't mid-air so "strafing" seems just fine. Excellent parts of the video as well, thoroughly enjoyed it and well tied together! Looking forward to your next videos.
Pretty late, but "ground strafing" used to be a thing in the older CS games. Many KZ/LJ servers roll this back so that you to pre-strafe on the ground by holding W + A/D and moving your mouse accordingly, which allows you to get up to 276 u/s while still on the ground. It's the reason a lot of LJs start with the person sideways, which wouldn't work in MM.
Actually excited for this series! I love bhopping with scroll. I am less good at long jumps bc I have not put in the time but it is fun to kz. I would say I am above average to intermediate. I have been playing 35hp Knife Only for 9 years which is largely movement manipulation, whiff punishing, and using peekers/movement advantage with server/ping and fast click reaction. 3000 of my hours is probably me bhopping around in 35hp. Looking forward to the tutorials so I actually know what I am doing technically.
@@leocuntface I recommend Cybershokes servers they have a big website. It is in Russian/eu so if you are close it might be an option. I don't know about any knife servers in the US because I probably don't see them haha.
this is 100% the best movement video for beginners. ive spent alot of time trying to find a clear concise explanation of these topics, air strafes especially, and they are pretty much non existent even now. thank you launders.
Bro I literally just started doing more bhop workshop maps after surfing (not well) on and off for years. Your timing is impeccable lau it’s time for me to grind
does the ladder explanation not make sense to anyone else either? I don't get how you can be holding a + w and jump on to the ladder from that angle. Does he mean d + w??
Amazing content as always sir! The production quality is top tier and the whole video its just done so well! Can't wait for more content like this, keep it up!
movement is so important in csgo especially when u reach higher lvl of competition. you should also try to mention stutter-stepping because in my opinion this is also a part of having a good movement and can really help you during duels and when u want to clear angels rapidly without giving away ur position
Yeah. IMO theres a stark difference between "kz-movement" wich opens up new possibilities and assists you during your rounds and "normal-movement" wich is absolutely vital for even having a decent chance in most gunfights. I can still understand that a tutorial on "normal-movement" is hard to make because its basically necessary to give a tutorial on crosshair-placement and gamesense at the same time.
I played KZ for a few hundred hours. And even did a bunch of jump maps in TF2 before playing CS. But just a few weeks ago I finally learned the correct timing to crouch, release, jump to get onto some boxes on mirage for example. "Will be back really soon"? It's been a while
Thank you very much. Great video. As someone who only started playing in 2020, this would help for sure. A suggestion - include in the description some workshop maps or servers that would help learn the skills discussed in the video. Thanks once again.
this was such a good video, and the kayak example was so smart for air strafing. constructive criticism; maybe look at the camera more when speaking rather than looking at script. delivery was awesome
Yeah fuck ladders, nothing makes me ragequit a kz map faster One at a time I can deal with but when there’s multiple in a row and I can’t checkpoint in between it stops my run dead
I know I’m late but thank your for this video. Just as your intro suggested, other online tutorials skip key details and make assumptions about what people already know. Thank you Launders
Hey. I’m a fellow gamer here from 2 years into the future to tell you Counter Strike released a sequel! And to not watch this video because the movement sucks, the cheaters are worse, and the games gonna be dead soon, so don’t bother ;)
Great vid, great editing, but I can’t stop noticing your looking at the scenario It will be better, if you place your text near the camera, if not behind it It will be much less noticeable Content is still great, just a notice
Good video, great explanation and the lot. But for the love of god stop reading your script while having your camera pointed at your face and just rehearse it.
