Yes! Cutest little blonde ninja! My hubby had straight blonde hair like that as a kid, but for some reason, his turned dark ash and curly haha (I love the curls though 🥹). Mine used to be super blonde, but turned dark too :/ I color mine a lot anyway though 😝Love the message of this video as well! Having ADHD and OCD makes it so hard to do things I REALLY want to do, but don’t want to do lol. I don’t need to enjoy doing them or make sure the right conditions are met to do them (but I do need constant reminders to remember to do them, it’s a struggle 🤦🏻‍♀️😅).

I feel like a Orange belt. I had OCD since I was a kid. But 2020 rolls around. And it speaks up again. Till recently it started interfering with my sleep. So I took to the internet to find what I could do to help. And I found this channel. And loving the support of my girlfriend. I started to do the treatment. Like starting with not giving in to my compulsions. And let the thought stay as long as they want. Yeah some of the other treatments might be scary. But that's the road to recovery

I’d say BLACK BELT 🥷 Within 2 years, I’d say I’ve gotten a grasp on my magical thinking OCD. That mixed with my religious OCD was crippling. Went from crying and screaming in frustration for 26 years to being able to live uncertain (thanks to you) I found motivation when I found out my wife was pregnant and I slammed through with focus and determination. I still have some days where I can feel OCD slipping in and intrusive thoughts getting more attention than needed, but I feel I’ve gotten a grasp. Fortunate enough for it to be naturally too. Appreciate you Nate man, excellent video. P.S young Nathan was a ninja.

I think I'm at an orange belt. I think I'm struggling with what to do with my thoughts when I'm not obsessing. Like... what are thoughts supposed to be? I've been having this thinking pattern for a lot of my life, although it was never as pervasive as it is currently. I just don't know, now, how to live without it and I'm in that place of working on it.

So what it means is with OCD we have to learn these skills to fight back . While others normal PPL are having black belt or even higher belt , infact not in that mess itself. SO WHATS THE ROOT CAUSE.

Hello. I've watched a few of your videos and you seem really cool. I have a problem with my OCD where I have to do everything in order. If I make a book list or movie list for myself I have to watch or read them in the order I made it. It may not seem like that much of a problem, but it has taken over my life in other ways than what to watch or read. Do you know how I can fix this? Thank you.

"You don't have to enjoy it" is so important to remember. I find my OCD being sneaky and telling me that if I'm not always thinking about ERP, finding it satisfying and making it my current obsession then I can't do it. 😅

I haven't had a chance to do ERP as often due to a busy work schedule. This discouraged me and even felt that ERP wasn't the best treatment for me. I have started it up again lightly. And I have seen an improvement and it has slowly encouraged me to do more ERP

Can't stand this. None stop every single day year after year. I don't see any way out of this now. I have no clue where to start or how to even attempt to get better. Wish I was someone else in a different place, I don't want to wake up like this anymore I hate it, I hate myself I have little to no interest in anyone or anything. I'm just stuck in this violent web of despair. If I'd have known I'd have known I would be like this beforehand I wouldn't have bothered carrying on. Not worth it.

Sometimes I want to move to somewhere else , other country and hope to feel there better, no noisy neighbours, no OCD.But I have to stay where I live because of my family.I hope you doing better someday.

I have pure o ocd mainly and have been struggling with this from months And then i went to a therapist as well also i am taking psych meds(i still do)and also took recovery in my hand even after willing to just give up on this several times just bcz i was tired of healing and stuff but still i m on this path of recovery and with time and some practices especially designed to regulate nervous system (especially somatic exercises)can make it bearable on days. But consider this situation: For a while just forget that you have ocd and consider that you have some programming that you need to let go or clear it off trust me just try once and its a game changer. Keep going ! You are way stronger than any thoughts or any mental illness and you deserve a fulfilling life❤

Hey, I wanna ask if it is possible to be physical sick and you are scared and have panic attacts and you use these methods to ease your nerves and triggers so will it work? I am not in best health and worries me alot now and scared it will lead to something dangerous so will this somehow help me?

Thank you so much for your videos! They’ve helped me so much. I always get super anxious at night and listening to your vids helps so much. I think I’m a blue belt right now and tend to get stuck there. It really does get worse before it gets better and it’s really hard to get past that bump. Going to continue adding skills to combat it though.

I'm scared to do the ERP because I am afraid of searing my conscience. I have POCD and (hopefully just false) memories from when my now 13 year old daughter was a baby and I watched her for a year and a half while my wife worked. I am terrified of what's in the past, like "what if I did X" to her when I was alone with her when she was just a baby. I can no longer tell real memories from fabrications. And I feel guilty all day long. What can I do to move forward, other than pray?

i discovered this channel because ever since yesterday i've had what i think is harm OCD. i was constantly thinking "what if i harm a loved one, what if i harmed myself, what if i died?" and it was geniuenly driving me insane because i kept searching information, kept deflecting it, kept giving it attention and just in general kept obsessing. and i find this channel after being home after a road trip and it's geniuenly been eye opening towards pretty much EVERYTHING. i've realized that obsessing over getting better is as bad as deflecting it and that i should just let the thoughts...flow? like i know i'm not gonna do any of that since i love myself and my family so why should i care? it's like a troll, the more you feed it the worse they'll act. giving it no attention and just letting it talk has helped me so much and i thank it to this channel. you have earned my subscription!

Thank you for the video! My ocd feeds on perfectionism. The moment i recognise and realise this is toxic, it brings all those examples of Perfectionists who changed the world...bruce lee practising that kick or Mj perfecting that move...to the point i dont even know if its ocd or not then begins another cycle. Net result Im a person who does nothing but researches on how to do stuff...its crazyy clingy

My OCD has been controlling me like a puppet! 😭💔 it’s been nearly close to 1 year and it’s still flared up and hasn’t gone away, I can’t enjoy anything at all cause my OCD, I’m locked in my head always in another world but I’m hardly ever in reality 🔒🧠😭 I have absolutely no joy in life anymore whatsoever at all, I’m drained mentally physically spiritually & emotionally 😵😭 my mom is the one who introduced me to Nathan Peterson! And I’m glad she did! ❤️ But my OCD is extremely stubborn! Wish me luck to find happiness cause I have ZERO happiness 😭 always miserable, I’ve had OCD ever since I was little and never really knew what it was and neither did my parents but now I’m fully aware of this demon that is called OCD 👿😭 and my OCD has me constantly anxious depressed stressed paranoid tired & angry 😰😭💔 and on top of that I feel like the world is against me and everyone hates me

These last few days I've been feeling awful, I can't ignore my thoughts, today I looked at a man and felt my whole body tingling, I didn't understand what that was but it felt like a good feeling and it made me paranoid. I'm also confused about how I feel about a girl I met, I thought she was beautiful and I like her personality but I can't tell if I like her or if I'm just forcing myself to feel something. I can't stand living like this anymore, I'm not saying I want to commit suicide, but I can't see anything good in life anymore, I just feel sad.

the same thing too when i had depression emotional numbness and social anxiety I thought i was cursed and i would never see a way out of it. Then i started working on myself and fighting to prove to myself that I will and that I can or at least do what i can before giving up on the idea. I got reassurance from someone and they told me that it could be a phase. I later learned that I have been oppressing myself with the idea of judging my future with the idea of having something forever. Problems for sure seem huge and unbearable for now but they do become smaller and smaller with time they will actually look petty when you look back . The journey is worth it believe me that after you overcome those struggles your way of understanding yourself and dealing with life struggles will become so much better. No matter how long you have been suffering the moment you choose to take these steps and declaring war on your ocd it will become smaller and smaller even if you are just starting with baby steps. You’re so much stronger than you give yourself credit for.
