What is BLM?

BLM land refers to 245 million acres of public lands managed by The Bureau of Land Management. BLM land can be found from the northernmost reaches of Alaska to the tip of Florida. In fact, BLM land takes up 12% of the U.S. landmass. Recreational activities such as hunting, hiking, backpacking, fishing, and more abound on BLM lands, as do industries such as oil and gas and cattle grazing.

Nice instructional session guys. Big fan of Dan's channel. One webinar sniggle, one question, and one app request. First, Matt...your picture covered the Tools toolbar during the session. Question...I often want to ask, how far from my current location to the next pass, for example. I don't see any way (not straight-line) to measure the distance along a trail to a landmark. Finally, one app request...please add a toggle to turn off dynamic trail following. Big CPU/graphics hit. If it just updates as you click that would be often enough.

Hi guys! I’ve been trying to book a rout in the north of Jasper but the booking system keeps trying to tell me that my route is “too far away from my selected access point” how do you get around this? I know my route is ambitious but but it’s not impossible. It’s less than 35km.
