It baffles me that there are so many people who have an access to RU-vid, but still struggle to English fluently. I've studied this language here by watching such incredible lessons, and that has significantly improved my English 🎉. Even though I'm fluent now, I still continue learning it, and I'm getting better each day 😎. English fluency is an achievable goal!❤ Just immerse yourself into it, and congratulate yourself for any minor progress. 😊

Yes, you can learn a lot with RU-vid. But something I realized over the years is that learning itself is a skill. If people have lessons but they don't actually know HOW to learn, then they will get stuck. So, sometimes they need extra guidance... and beyond that, some people prefer the structure and experience of a course or program. RU-vid is super random... and there is a LOT to sift through (including inaccurate info that can be confusing). Some people don't have time for that. So it's great that there are so many options when it comes to learning... there's more than one way for people to achieve their goals. Sometimes I use RU-vid for learning, and sometimes I invest in programs.

@@TheEnglishCoach What you're saying is so true! I'm an electrical engineering student and I've taught myself many things related to that field. Being able to Learn things on your own is a skill in itself that a vast amount of people don't possess. Much appreciation for your input. 💯

@@SibahleMseleku I'm the same way! I have taught myself so much and for a while I didn't understand why other people struggled to learn/improve skills on their own. Then I realized my ability to "self-teach" is highly developed and not everyone can do what I can do... they can learn, sure... but some people have to be taught. It's super interesting and realizing it's actually a SKILL was super helpful for me... because it made me realize I needed to be more patient with people who don't have this skill (cause sometimes I used to get annoyed that I could do it so easily and other people couldn't)
@SibahleMseleku
@SibahleMseleku 3 месяца назад
@@TheEnglishCoach Wow, that's incredible! I actually came to the same realization as well. I always thought that it was sheer laziness that makes people to be mediocre or fail to learn things by themselves. However, by observing my friends' behavior, I soon realized that this is truly an acquired skill which most of us are oblivious to, or should I say underestimate. Keep it up! You're definitely on the right track! ❤️

Every since i started following your lessons, my English accuracy has improved off the charts. I fell in love with Standard American English when i was teased by people who speak British English. I made up my mind, put my mother language on backburner for months because i'm currently living in an another and, my methodology eventually worked pretty smoothly. I thought of joining your English courses but, couldn't because i don't see an easy way out and , unfortunately, i work almost 24/7 and that defines how tough it is for me. But, i never discarded any of your lessons. I was moved with your confidence and the way you frankly get along with millions of English learners on this platform. You might not specifically recognize me but you made me break the record in my English fluency journey. I always watch your videos to the bitter end. You have no idea how much your lessons mean to me. Thank you a million.

I finished watching this video!!! great job! I have a question for you. I enjoy reading in English and frequently come across new words, phrases, and proverbs that aren't commonly used in everyday conversation. I often pause to translate and write them down, which sometimes makes the reading less enjoyable. How can I identify whether a word or expression is uncommon or old-fashioned so that I can avoid learning unnecessary information?

Hi Stefanie! Fluency, rhythm, and pronunciation are key elements for effective communication in English. Fluency refers to the ability to speak continuously and effortlessly, while rhythm relates to the pattern of accents and pauses when speaking. Lastly, pronunciation influences how the sounds of the language are articulated❤

With that being said and in regards, I don’t know what else to say, I guess goodbye, but before I’d like to share a little personal experience,I’m doing better with my English, I found a job in a bilingual customer company and it’s been helping me to improve and gain confidence big time,then I start using dating apps and start going out with American girls and it gave me huge confidence, being immersed 100% it is taking to another level, now I don’t feel uncomfortable or embarrassed for my accent anymore, now feels like it’s is plus , a conversation trigger.

What about people with Rhotacism, how to deal with one's situation of not being able to pronounce R correctly ? (sounds W or L instead)
@TheEnglishCoach
@TheEnglishCoach 3 месяца назад
I think anytime we can't make a sound properly, it takes intentional practice to overcome. You have to mechanically force your mouth, tongue, lips etc. into the correct positions, then you have to "play with the sound" until you get it right. Once you have located the correct positioning for everything, you have to drill the sound until it becomes second nature. Then you have to make yourself hyper-aware of when you use the sound in spontaneous speech so you make sure to use the correct sound and not fall back into old habits. It takes work, but it's totally possible. Awareness and practice are key! I hope that helps.
