The fact that these videos are free to watch is insane if you think about it... People out here selling photography courses not even giving 20% of the quality you put out there.

Stoked to hear that and glad that I could help. I have a few videos on the list, but I’ll try and add that one in. In the meantime, Think Media has a good one that is similar and might have a few nuggets for ya: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tyo8sqHymqE.html

Thanks, Mike Technically, yes: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7aLUb4CRD_Y.html But to be honest. Some if my recent setup videos on the a6700 and the ZV E1 are a bit more up to date and 90% of the settings are transferable to the a7iv

I used to work as a portrait photographer....for many years. I learned that the shutter should be about the same as the focal length. Not for me!! I'm all there with double it! :D I often used studio strobes, then it's not that important. But again, great video. :)

Awesome, Is shutter 2X the frame rate, or 2X the lens length?
@user-we7vk5zg7l
@user-we7vk5zg7l 10 месяцев назад
This is kind of basic for me. But it is one h*ll of a video! :)
@BrunoKrnetic
@BrunoKrnetic 5 месяцев назад
Just to clarify: 1. When doing video, I should keep the shutter speed 1/48 if doing a 24 fps 2. When doing photography, I should keep the shutter speed twice the size of lens focal distance? So if I have a lens of 30mm for APS-C camera, my shutter speed should be 1/60 minimally?
@AnzorKhawaj
@AnzorKhawaj 9 месяцев назад
so if I understand correctly; for product photography in a studio; put the camera on a tripod and go for the highest shutterspeed cause why not?
@seandewispelaere
@seandewispelaere 9 месяцев назад
The benefit of product photography is that things aren't moving so you can actually get away with a lower shutter speed if necessary. Ideally, yes, use a tripod. Make sure you have plenty of light. I usually have the f-stop at least at 5.6 to make everything is in focus, ISO low around 160, then use the shutter to get exposure
@AnzorKhawaj
@AnzorKhawaj 8 месяцев назад
A6700 ISO goes down to 25, should I keep it around 160~ rather than go all the way down to 25? and to confirm; shutter speed I have at 1/10, is that also overkill? @@seandewispelaere
@darkangeltactical
@darkangeltactical 4 месяца назад
Great stuff! my a6700 is displaying shutter speed as numbers and decimals (48.0-4098.4), not fractions. Is there a way to change this?

This ^ I want a fourth ‘bonus’ studio cam angle for video podcasts that can be used also for run and gun teaser clips etc and can’t decide mainly due to the 🔥 risk
