Haven't thought about monitors since they upgraded to ATCs in the space I work in. Can't fault them at all.

Based on my taste, experience and impression there is a pair in installment 4 or 5 which is 10/10 (tannoy gold dual concentric)

have you heard any setups with nearfields and subs instead of 3way full range speakers? I know there's a lot of complications with subs but it seems like there are quite a few benefits if you get it right.

Yes; but not in a proper studio enviroment; I heard the amphion with their sub at NAMM in an open room; my one comment to how they operated was; the crossover when dialed in correctly sounded great; like it was a one unit system; but that said there was no interaction with a room/proper use of them;

Comparing $100, $1000, and $100.000 monitors, you shouldn’t be no engineer to tell the same lmao🤣🤣 Cheap ones are bad, mid ones are mid, top ones are great
