The most interesting part is the Bonus Ice Chunks. Will you do a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve this effect?

@@Greyscalegorilla There are 3 Tall Boy Can objects, the first is a bare can, the second is a can with ice, and the third is a can with frost. I don't quite understand how these 3 cans overlap.

Ty for the vid. Using the regular node editor with Arnold, having trouble plugging in the frost texture. Not sure how it connects in the regular node editor.

No @@MostafaMohamed-bc9wh but I will revisit the video now that I have Cinema 4D 2024/latest Arnold version and try it again. Which version of C4D and Arnold are you using though?

Hi, i have a question ive really not understood. When placing textures on a small object, and want more details on it. Should Lenght U and V (on the texture tag) be increased or decreased? And sometimes using Redshift materias, it says on the material that its 200 cm. What does that mean, and where do you put those cm?
@Greyscalegorilla
@Greyscalegorilla Год назад
When using Length U and Length V, you need to Increase the value to make the material bigger. When using Tiles, you make the value Smaller to make the material bigger. Hope that helps.

Wait until November, then buy an Octane Subscription and you'll get a free GreyscaleGorilla Subscription as long as you have your Octane License + a free Kitbash3D Kit every 3 months. That's how I did it. 200€ a year for Octane AND GSG is not that bad

Hey Nick. How did you get the materials to stack on top of each other on 3 different instances of the can?
@Greyscalegorilla
@Greyscalegorilla Год назад
Good question. Try using a displacer with a small amount to push a duplicate version of the geometry away from the original can. Also, the displacement does some of this. It pushes the geometry out.

@@Greyscalegorilla - thanks. I tried that, but yours looked more like blending mode in photoshop. Each can reveals the the van below.
