It has been a year since I tried to learn how to play Mah Jongg. Had to drop out as family caregiving to precedent. I was invited back to our local town Mah Jongg group and have been struggling deciphering the Standard Hands card. Thank you so much for your video! Your instructions are very straightforward and easy to understand. I appreciate all your examples and look forward to viewing and saving your Part II video! I feel more confident now. Barbara

@17:05 The example is two suits because it is two colors. You can use any two suits and I used craks for 2021 so I could use bams or dots and those dragons are green or white. Let me know if you need additional information.
It helps to have the National Mah Jongg League Card and take in person lessons. The videos are here to support your teachings. Mah Jongg is not for everyone but at least you gave it a try. Yes, lots of patience and kindness to yourself, it isn't always easy to learn something new but often when the light bulb goes off you'll have years of fun a great game to enjoy with friends.
