Brother, I love me some Who, back in the days of catching dude with his epic scarf on public TV. The villain deck I don't love by itself, but individual parts rule and are gonna be fun to mix and match. Plus with lawyers and lobbyists I got me a new Dimir deck so that's where I'm at.
Which is not all that notable in the lore. The doctor practically hunts ancient evils For sport at this point. Heck if You include the extended universe Which you should, in my opinion. The doctor has fought kathulu with Sherlock Holmes.
@@plantainsame2049 I honestly love that two-parter because the Beast honestly has some of the best lines for any "devil" character I've ever seen and he's literally just a one-off villain. Like yeah it's a big deal for the Doctor in the moment, and he brings it up once or twice later. ("I was a little busy fighting the devil." "Okay, if you're not gonna take this serious then forget it.") But yeah, it's not like, a major big bad with lore that goes throughout the series. It's just a two-parter where he defeats the actual, singular devil. Anyway, wonder what shit the Daleks are up to right now?

@@bettercommander lol they kinda move like that too. It's so cheesy but the way the show goes you're just terrified of them because they're nigh indestructible and only want to kill everything that's inferior to them which is everything.
They remind me of Brothers War. A lot of payoffs, not a lot of set up, some huge turns and huge crackbacks afterwards. It's mostly a commander set with 200 new cards honestly sorted into decks. This one in particular though could really take over but not very optimized. I REALLY think they basically made a 4 player Dr. Who game in the world of Magic. They really are designed to play on each other
@mizzlchieizzl fair enough. I'm not a Dr Who fan, so could be another reason I'm really not feeling them as well. Only one I'm interested in is Final Fantasy for these Universes Beyond decks coming out.
I've been a fan of Doctor Who for years so my friends wanted to get me into magic the gathering and this is the first deck they got me. The thing I've loved the most about the cards descriptions and their effects is that they make sense to what happens in the show for the most part. For example the beast deathless prince in the show was known as the original Satan, and he takes control of people regularly in the show. The weeping Angels can't move in the show unless you're not looking at them, and during that time that you are looking at them they are statues. If they touch you they can teleport you to different times and places. The master multiplied in the show created copies of himself by turning everybody else into him. And he was the only true version of him but as you mentioned in the card itself the dude in the background in just a dress is actually if you look closely... All of them are him. There's a lot of callbacks to the actual show that is super appreciated. The only problem I have is that I'm still new to magic the gathering and I'm still basically learning how to play.
