@insomniacproductions The original Tytus was about 15-20 inches and only released in Europe (along with his fellow giant and arch-nemesis, Megator). He never appeared in the animated series, to my knowledge.
10:00 - 13 Years later Dan actually owns one of the originalls!, saw it in his room tour. Worth noting a larger figure should have better articulation then a smaller one, not less, so Mattel didnt do a great job here.
I know this is an old video, but this video and the megator video led to me picking this guy and megator up. Are figures are for play, but when not in play, the kids do a set up. Are tytus has some loose knees, so he doesn't like to display. Any tips to tighten up his knees?
Awesome Review Dan but man this figure let me down a bit, I love the detail and size but the articulation should be as good if not better in this scale. I own lots of hot toys figures and they have like 38 points of articulation and this has very standard articulation and less than a regular MOTUC figure. I'll get him still but compared to Battle Cat he's not the best Bonus figure so far
@insomniacproductions he was only released in Europe during the very last year of He-Man toys and was suppose to set up the powers of greyskull toy line. If you remember He-man had dinosaurs with weapons that was suppose to lead into pre-eternia story about He-Ro. they never made it ,but this guy did only overseas! hope that helps
holy crap , when did all these ones come out, i just remember the anniversary one that came out like 12-13 years ago that were the exact same as the 80', but nothing like these let alone ,remakes for the ones i missed, were can you find these?
I've never had a complaint with any motuc figure. they are awesome figures I love them. This tytus figure is awesome but I am very disapointed with the lack of articulation. There was no excuse for that. especially when the whole point of motuc is the articulation.
Hi, I'm from Germany and I have an old Tytus, but unfortunately without the helmet and the weapon :( Perhaps I will find them at my neighbours. I have the figure from them :)
It'd be cool if they made a Sh'Gora figure -- the demon character featured in "To Save Skeletor" which caused for the Masters and the Evil Warriors to work together.
@jesterzchild I was lucky to get one myself! it's like playing a slot machine trying to get on there! Next month is supposed to be more figs, but I have a feeling it's still be tough...
Hes.....pretty much a statue...frankly the lack of a ball/swivel joint on the shoulder or bicep swivel is inexcusable. I udnerstand the lack of a ball joint, as theres not really going to be possible to swap heads on the buck. This seems to be quite a dissappointment for motucs first 12" outing..i really hope it doesn't affect future 12" releases....
ill be honest in this day and age the figure should have alot more articulation in it esspecially for the higher price point. I guess for a collector hes fine if they just dont play with it, but the fun factor of it is kinda low :(
Gr8 review Dan. I have to say I'm disappointed in the this fig. It's 200x articulation on a 2010 fig. That was one of the selling points of MOTUC the awesome articulation. It just seems like they threw it out there knowing it'd sell and ppl will just have to accept it. Anyways this'll be an ez pass for me.
just got my tytus today, OMG he his amazin. weird thing is that my tytus's hair is a much softer and he can hold his club much better over his soulders
A few years ago i found one at a flee market for $20.00 out of the box no weapons , I painted his hair black got him a letter opener sword i think its a replica of Richard's Lion Heart sword and I turned him in to Conan the Barbarian i know! I know! Sone of you motu collecors want to kill me!! But he does look like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan!
They could of easily made him standard motuc articulation for $60. I dont get what is wrong with Mattell. MOTUC sell. wish they would stop messsing around. I vote for version 2 fully articulated Tytus down the line.
@cudthedestroyer absolutely NOT...this doesnt seem like a motuc figure...i wrote pixel when he did the vid from the con and i immediately noticed he was missing points.i agree with jrimme who said they just threw it together and we have to accept it... to the toy guru at mattel...YOU LET US DOWN WITH THIS RARE LEGEND!!!
