Wow… never really realised the full power of these little units. Absolute class as always. Mastersounds don’t make gear that’s not worth having in your kit bag. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I still personally like those rough and rugged whistling filters they used for 90’s French Disco House. No new age efx box I’ve found can create that sound.
Just got M.S 4v mixer and FX little hard to figure out but will I put FX on 8 an can’t get bpm light to come on can hear change but wanted to see lights on FX still trying to figure out weren’t real clear on what to do became there a main high mid an low filler on far right that blends channels but really nice build an nice to mix on WOW would highly recommend an it’s fun to learn some new .is there a cover you can get got a hold of deck saver said not available don’t have tooling to make covers any suggestions thanks
Look Really nice . Filters seem to sound really Smooth . Though My concern is more toward reverb trails and Delay feedback not being long enough . Specially for dub ... Endless feedback Is standard . We'd need to try it ... shame cause we were just in THE uK the other day ...
I’ve had my fx and radius 4v for a few years now, and still learn new ways of using it. One thing I have found, I tend to always have the filter activated even when not using it, and the resonance filter has quite an impact on the bass. So if it’s up high it amplifies it and all the way down it’s act almost as a bass kill. I guess that’s functioning as designed?
I have an effects routing question. How are you able to get 100% wet filter effect so there is no dry signal (behaving like a master effect) and also later show delays which have both the dry and wet signal at the same time and then drop out the dry signal (behaving like a send effect) overdubbing ? Are there some mixers that work in this way and others that don’t? Can this be done on the xone 92 with your effects unit?
I love your videos the quality of picture and sound just need to get the 1210 serviced yes I still need to get them done then put my hand in my pocket and buy radius 4 and and Fx
Thank you for providing valuable info! Though I would like to know more about fx8 auto-bpm. How fast does the engine is able to detect the bpm? In terms in playing live music, let’s say disco or some funk and soul, so can I rely that it will catch the current state of bpm? Very crucial for going out of a track a for me smoothly.
Thanks so much for the comment, we are working on more great videos, including FX with none MasterSounds DJ mixers, so watch this space. in the meantime if you have any more questions just head to the site and pop us a mail
@@mastersoundsaudio1430 i successfully connected the fx unit to a pioneer DJM 750 mk2 in both Aux and Insert mode. What a beautiful sounding unit!!! I am using the aux mode on DJM. This way I can use aux trim to send what i want affected by the fx and filter and route only that channel back. I was wondering whether i could connect it the same way to a radius as in not use the insert function so that i could use the filter part of a fx as a per channel mixing tool ?
Thanks for the message! When we designed Radius the ethos was on sound and simplicity, without the need for an ADD MIX knob. For headphone monitoring, you can monitor both the cued track and the house mix by pressing both headphone cue buttons. You can also use this as a cue/mix blend by rotating the TRIM knob to blend both sources. We also have a SPLIT/CUE function on the mixer for in-ear monitoring in quiet environments. We do have an ADD MIX feature on our flagship VALVE series.
Sure Rick! FX works great with Xone 96, all you need is an extra pair or splitter leads and our 96 connection diagram. We have lots of super happy Xone 96 users 🪩❤️🪩
Thanks for the message, the latest generation FX allws use on mixers with a send/return system. Pop us over a message via our website and we can fire over a connection diagram.
@mastersoundsaudio1430 hi, I like your product and philosophy. I would like to buy this fx unit but not sure if is compatible with my warn 2 from ecler . Again thanks for your beauty work
Hey John, so Generation 2 works in the same way as your 1st generation unit, but has auto BPM on FX8 and doesn't;t require the filter knob to be turned clockwise to hear the effect over the house mix.
@@mastersoundsaudio1430 thanks for getting back to me. I think the ability to be able to filter one channel at a time would be very useful. I mainly mix Jungle so I global filter wouldn’t work for what I do. I can imagine it would work for house DJs
@@Iconrolleryou can connect it without master insert so you could use fx per channel and also filter per channel. It works like this on model 1 or xone 92.
I apreciate the great job, thanks. But for me, there is too much talk. I need more of the "hands on" camera, showing a good point of view so we can see clearly what are you doing. And maybe listen a synth or a drum machine thru It. Anyway, looks great.
