Why dont we talk about how Leon's last loss was to the Champ, hasn't lost since, has won 8 in a row and now he is a ready for a rematch. Im not even the biggest Edwards fan for no reason other than he doesnt talk much and I just dont follow him on social media but his story with Usman being champ is freaking unbelievable! If he won the title, it would be like the getting the "Rub" super early from Usman and after a long list of fights, made him ready for this moment (fighting for the belt). But honestly all these story lines are amazing. Usman is a beast so im just ready for any fight. P.s I believe Colby has given Usman the hardest and made Usman way more famous like Askren did Masvidal. So maybe Covington too but I also Hope Chaels prediction of Leon and Colby is right cause that would be Awesome! I love the UFC!

Hm.. trying to be fair to everyone I think I’d put Gilbert vs Leon, Colby VS Masvidal. Winner of Gilbert vs Leon takes usman, winner of Colby vs masvidal takes winner of the championship fight. There is no real fair way to see this. Everyone has their argument.

I like Masvidal, but he lost a lot of heat with that loss. I think Burns gets the next shot because Masvidal needs some wind in his sails, he needs a nice victory and to show he deserves another shot. So you could either put him against Colby or Edwards, I think Colby is better because if one of those guys comes out with a solid win, either one will have all the shine they need for the shot at the title. And whoever there is that is left out (Edwards) I would put against Nate Diaz or Woodley. Let that all shake out. Now whoever wins between say Colby and Masvidal, they get the title shot, and whoever wins between say Edwards and Diaz/Woodley gets Usman, or Burns after their fight... yes I'm planning way to far ahead.

I keep hearing "I needed more time to prepare" guess what that gives Usman more time to prepare as well dummies. Usman beats Jorge 19 out of 20 times, but I am open to a Colby vs Jorge winner gets the shot, that makes sense on many levels.

Masvidal needs to prove himself with someone in the Top 5 first... there’s no need for a rematch. Woodley? Covington? Edwards? Burns? Prove yourself against someone in the top 5 first.

Masvidal would need to KO Colby to get a title shot. I see Usman beating him again though. It's a difficult fight for Jorge stylistically. Yes he would have more time to prepare BUT so would Usman.

I have a ton of respect for Chael Sonnen, but what I respect about him the most, and is related to this video, is how he always went after the toughest opponents, the absolute best in the world. Anderson Silva, Fedor Emelianenko, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Wanderlei Silva, Tito Ortiz, etc. Sonnen’s record reads like an all-time greatest fighters list.

Dana White, in the post fight press said Masvidal had almost a week, he brought in high level wrestlers which is why his take down defense was so good, expressly saying that the UFC did well to make alternative arrangements and a successful title fight, and insinuating that he won't be getting a shot soon

Y'all wanted Usman to stand and trade with Masvidal but praised Stipe for fighting Francis the way he did. Why didn't Stipe stand toe to toe with him? IMO -- Jorge v Leon and winner gets winner of Usman v Burns (if it could happen soon). If not, then Leon gets Usman, then winner gets gets Jorge. Winner of Jorge and Champ gets Colby. Finally, Champ gets Connor. Connor sits back and fights whomever while he waits

Ufc needs more rematch fights. They really should run it back because clearly even on "6 days" notice usman DID NOT want to throw hands with masvidal which is telling IMO. And for masvidal he did good defending takedowns or at least limiting damage and getting right back up....the fight was just awkward IMO.

Colby has said that he’d be willing to fight Masvidal for no money, he doesn’t care what the money is, he will fight Masvidal because he’s his daddy. The ball is in Masvidal’s court.

The fight wasn't close though. If you give Masvidal a training camp, fine. But remember, Usman also didn't have a training camp for Masvidal. If he has 4 months to come up with a game plan, it's a wrap. The 2nd fight will be even worse.

I don't want to see the rematch straight away, I don't see it going any different. I know I'll probably get slammed for this but I honestly thought from day one the Burns fight with Usman is much better and I think Burns will give him more of a run for his money. Nothing against Masvidal but that fight went exactly the way I expected it to so although I wouldn't be opposed to the rematch (Masvidal probably learned a lot in that fight!) I would like to see other fights happen before hand with Masvidal and Usman individually. I honestly reckon Burns has a good chance of beating Usman way more than Masvidal simply because he's such an all rounder and much stronger, I think he'll cause Usman problems, that's NOT saying he'll win but I think we'll get a much better fight for sure. I said this from day one even when the Masvidal fight was signed.
