He's spot on about the sizing. Asics boots in Japan go by the cm of your feet. The US Size stamp they put is just for label purposes. Sizing down half or even a full size is the right call from your regular shoe size.
So, in Morelia 2’s I’m a US 11/29cm. Adlers I went down full size as recommended to 28 cm and perfect. But in ASICS 29 cm is actually US 11.5. Are you saying I should go by CM in ASICS sizing only? And also go down to 28.5 cm to get a very snug fit? I generally don’t like to be right up against the front so I’m thinking just 29cm. Do I have it right?
I wore the first x-fly model years ago and still remember the superb comfort and fit I had playing im them. Durability was unfortunately an issue for me too, as I was playing on AG.
Will say this again I do think Asics should consider returning to the American(both North and South) and European markets. Getting a pair of these pretty soon and I’m honestly stoked by it.
When I went to japan years back I bought the ASICS ds light x fly originals. My intention was to purchase the mizuno Morelia neo but they are narrow fitting. I mostly played on ag pitches and I never got soleplate separation. The only thing was when it was really hot it was like walking on lava. One of the best boots I’ve ever worn. Comfort level and the feel hasn’t been matched
I've watched this video so many times trying to decide whether to buy these, finally just bit the bullet and ordered a pair. Can't wait to try them out!
@@hanta7488 They're class! As someone with average width feet I personally find they fit quite tight l, but that's my preference. If you can find them for a decent price I would definitely recommend them
After buying 4 pairs of boots in the last 4-6 weeks (adidas predator freak +, puma netfit, k-leather lottos, and a pair of older diadoras) as I cant find a pair that are comfortable on my feet (size 11 with a wider foot), saw this review and snagged a set yesterday. I really hope this pair doesn't leave me with half dollar sized blisters on my heels (even with grip socks). Ive been getting back into playing more regularly (roughly 10.5 hours a week between coaching and playing). Appreciate the very comprehensive reviews. Z
Just purchased a pair in Japan too! I believe my feet are pretty similar size/shape to Noah’s-my intention was to purchase some type of Mizuno Morelia Neos, but they just didn’t fit as well as the DX Light X-Fly’s for my wide feet
Brilliant review Noah!, I bought a pair of these boots in black from the same supplier you got yours from & it took them about a week to arrive to the uk which was fast, cant wait to try them out, there very comfy for my wide feet also! 👌⚽️🔥
I’m confused as to which ones are K-leather and which are synthetic leather. I am debating purchasing a pair of ASICS boots but I want real leather I feel like it might be a better version of one of my fav boot OAT the tiempo 5.
great video! quick question: Is there a difference between the made in Vietnam version and the made in japan version in terms of sizing or does it not matter? I got the Mizuno Rebula Cup in US10/EU44 and they fit perfectly! Keep the good work up!!!
Hey Noah, I just received these. Overall, they are amazing except the midfoot is too tight. I played a session and they are still causing discomfort. Because it is a synthetic, do you think it has a chance to stretch to accommodate my wide foot. Or should I give up and move on to the x pro 2s ?
Hey Noah! Absolutely sensational review, I love watching your videos, I’m currently looking for new boots right now, by chance could u give me a recommendation for wide feet? And also, where do u get your boots from?
Hey Noah, apologies if you’ve been asked this a bunch already! Do you plan on making a comparison video between these & the MIJ Mizuno Neo III? Also do you think because the Mizuno’s are of a higher build quality they won’t get affected as badly on AG? Cheers
Hi mate! Both are fairly durable, I'd say the Mizuno product suffers the same fate because of the leather material as well. Perhaps they're a TINY bit more durable, but not noticeable enough for most people over time
Probably the 5s! As time goes on, ratings will get lower overall because of how many other boots I try and what my reference point is. If I were to go back and rate the 4s, they'd be lower than the 5s 🫶🏼
Appreciate the detailed videos! However, do you think the durability would be higher on natural grass? (Also, tell those kids to keep it down next time haha)
Good Day Noah i am interested for asics ds light 6 flash yellow blue. Usually i wear nike 9 us like 27 cm (42.5) or asics 9 us running shoes . Should i buy it 9 us true to size . I have wide feet like 2E . Your advice will be helpful . Thank you.
Great video as usual Noah! I have a quick question, recently had a pair of Mercurial Superfly 9 elite’s which I had to return as faulty, and I think they were slightly too narrow for my feet as well. Would you recommend switching to the phantom gx elite’s and staying tts? Keep up the great work!
@@NoahCavanaugh do you think phantom gx is still a good boot for narrow feet? Would you say mercs are better than phantoms for narrow footed players? Also do you plan on doing a top boots of the season video?
Hi Noah great video. After disappointment from the mizuno Morelia 2 and Tiempo legend 10, I am looking into a pair of these asics. Would you say they fit true to size? I no longer fit in 9.5 tiempos, do you think I would fit in size 10 asics or 9.5? Thankyou, all the best 👍
Same here in South Africa. Asics is well known and popular in running, Netball, Rugby 🏉 , and Cricket 🏏 here in South Africa. But their football ⚽ boots are nowhere to be found 🤷🤷🤷
Hey Noah, I’m a US 8.5 and I’ve been wearing the mizuno Morelia 2 true to size for a few days and my heel has been slipping in the boot even with grip socks but only in my right foot. The fit length and width wise was perfect for me besides that. Been considering getting these ASICS boots but not sure what size I should get whether it be my usual size or half a size down, love the content btw!
@@NoahCavanaughthank you very much 🙏 would you also recommend going half a size down on the mizuno Morelia neo 4 beta? I’ve got pretty wide feet I’m a 2E on width on the mizuno chart so that’s why I initially went with the Morelia 2s just to be safe 😅
Hey Noah great video, I have a question you know a shoe that is the same feel as the adidas nemeziz 18.1 but more of a speed boot. I loved the nemeziz comfortability and touch. Please send me some recommendations. Thanks!
Thanks mate! Unfortunately nothing really feels like the Nemeziz anymore, but as far as comfort goes in the speed boot category, the Furons are a great shout
can we get a little less b roll in these videos lol especially when your trying to show us the boots on the main camera and it cuts to b roll lmao seems like the timing is off a lil
@@NoahCavanaugh not tryna hate lol I've been watching ur vids for a while and have been a subscriber for a long time didn't mean for it to come off that way just wanted to give some constructed criticism 🙏🙏
