If you want a taste of what Charles Nelson Reilly's family was like, take a look at "The Life Of Reilly" here on RU-vid. It's funny. It's heartbreaking. It's thought-provoking.
Richard's 27th H/H match! (I'm hoping Orson and/or Fannie will get chosen again this week.) Here's the updated accuracy leader board for the 7 celebs to have scored 3 or more matches so far: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Betty - 50% (8 wins in 16 attempts). Jo Ann - 46.7% (7 out of 15 attempts). Charles - 40% (6 wins in 15 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 30.3% (27 wins in 89 attempts). Brett - 25% (5 wins in 20 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 217, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.
Only second taping of the day, too soon. Also Gene, on going medical condition, and Richard didn't drink, they both say so on the show at least a couple of times..Even Patti said they only had one cocktail at dinner althou they were a walking party sober.. Who would want that on tape while trying to find work in the business, they were all very professional.. Not to mention what Producer would want they on stage trying to give away money to contestants while they were dunk.. I would think not..
It's often referred to in the show when someone sends out a hello over the airwaves, yet it's never explained: why is it "not allowed" to do? Some daft FCC regulation a of the times? Thanks.
I think hosts just frown on it because it means nothing to everyone except that person and letting everyone do it gets annoying (e.g. Drew Carrey's TPIR Showcase Showdowns).
yes i find it wird that they won't allow this, was it a policy from the producers or was this FCC stuff as you said? i doubt it was some FCC stuff because i seen it been done in other TV shows.
Lee was such a 🍯, she put up a good fight, but alas she didn't know the ancient joke's punchline. Soap and stopper were great answers, but I thought of rubber duckies
2022 updated #1 answer to the super match question for $500 at minute mark 4:15 - "sleepy",,,,,,,,,,, answer? -------------------------------------- drum roll please --------------------------------------- "joe" lol.
I suppose they knew what they doing, indeed. Still, I think 'Alpenglow' a better name. I dislike contractions, finding them lazy or a dumbing-down to appeal to the base, but, again, as with so many successes of the Madmen, it obviously worked.
