Now, I'm seeing a lot of anti-Gary posts here. It's true that his antics could be seen as upstaging. But Gary and Gene and Charles have a rich history together in theater, they're old friends. And think how much of a relief it must have been for Gary, to shed his Radar character, and actually get to be himself for a change. I like him, and Brett seems to, as well.

I actually think Gene looked very handsome with his hair that way. But then I’m 70 and my eyesight might be bad 😱😱😱 seriously I also love Avery in these matches - he’s sincerely funny (unlike Gary who is obnoxious)!

What the heck is wrong with Gary B. At 14:51 he's saying stupid stuff about the writer and Gene tries to throw him off but Gary keeps talking. He is something else. 😳
The actors on MASH didn't like Gary. They called him "The Bulldog". He was trying too hard to be funny and the harder he tried the less funny he was. The guy hasn't a very good personality. He's a jerk in real life too.
so are we going to be treated to gary running around the set like a horses blank every show till Charles comes back? the things you see when you don`t have a sling shot!
Of course, Gary is no Charles, but why would we want him to be anyone but himself, who God made him to be? And Gary is funny in his own right. It's clean fun, like we need now more than ever ✝️

Isn't this the third time in four consecutive shows that Mr. Burghoff tried to hog the spotlight during Mr. Rayburn's introduction? Watching a week's work of shows in a row (the way they were taped), I'm beginning to see why Richard Dawson got fed up.

I’ve been thinking during all five of these episodes why Garry‘s behavior works for me. I think Garry is directing his humor towards gene directly. And since gene likes it, he continues. Nothing wrong with working your material towards the host- it’sit’s his show. I don’t look at wacky behavior indicating somebody is high. I think instead, it shows that he’s having a good time with himself, and that is being fueled by the reaction of others on the stage that he respects. End of my psychological view. They’re still my friends and I miss them.
Good thing Gary's part on Mash was written by writers and he couldn't do whatever he wanted like on here or his career would've been over quicker than it was!!! He's NOT FUNNY, JUST EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I'm gonna say that the the Gary was ok up until the last 2 episodes. The last 2 episodes I yelled at him to SHUT UP!! but this is the only negative thing I've said about him. I am sick, sick, SICK of all you who do this on every single episode ON here!!!
McLean Stevenson also chased Gene around the set. I don't recall reading negative responses at him for his antics. Oh well, must have been the water they were both drinking on the M.A.S.H Set.
