When Gene mentioned he never ate McDonald's, I'm thinking he meant the Big Mac which was newer at the time. Or is it possible he never ate at McDonalds at any capacity?
I've been watching every episode in order from the first one, and I can't believe that in all this time they've never come up with a classier way for Gene to dispose of the used head-to-head match question than by tossing it onto the revolving pedestal as it brings in the new contestant. (19:24 in today's episode). Every time I see it I shake my head. It just looks so ridiculous and unprofessional, I'm surprised no one ever came up with a better solution. At the very least, he could set it on the counter out of sight of the camera (behind the sliding panels that hold the new questions) as he approaches to greet the new contestant. Or maybe just not have the camera focused on Gene as he tosses the question like so much litter. But it seems like they show him doing this every single time.
My first thought was "dust to dust" which didn't register. My second thought was Endust which I tossed because I didn't think anyone would say it. Wrong again! But then when I heard Brett's answer, I slapped my forehead. Yup, that's the one!
Once again, as with The Godfather and King Kong, the writers demonstrate their ignorance of the source material. They might be thinking of The Great Escape, but in Hogan's Heroes, the prisoners weren't trying to escape. They were on a secret mission to disrupt the Germans by helping other people escape, among other things. They had to stay in the camp. You would have thought Richard might mention that fact.

After Gene's kiss and Richard's comment Gene looked like he knew he had gone to far...he had been congratulated on a show he did with his wife earlier that day and moments later he starts making out with a young beautiful girl in front of an audience and t.v. viewers, I grew up in the 70's and that was a big time no no.

Serious Question. I know Gene likes to kiss (which is disgusting), and Helen was probably ok with a little kiss, but HOW could she put up with him when he kissed Sarah like that? It wasn't only GROSSEI! It was so LONG! I would've given him an alternative right there!! "You kiss another girl that and we're through!!" (that was DISGUSTING)!
I guess they're laying off picking on Brett (as well they should), so now all the question are about saint Richard and Hogan's Hero's. This is like the THRID question now (and the last one was just a few episodes back). Anyway, 3 times, they've done a question about Hogan's Heroes, and ALL 3 TIMES, Charles has used that SAME joke! and the last TWO times, saint Richard responded back with the exact same thing, "He was the only 48 year old. who watched the show" (it gets old afterwhile)!
It took me 490 episodes and 43 years to finally make up my mind - Gene is a perv. That kiss was way too far, and she is too much of a munchkin for him. He shouldn't be using that show to get his jollies. Also, I like Gary over Charles. Lastly, I need a time machine so I can go back and marry Ann Elder. Musk needs to give up Ambien and get to work on one.
@@shalimar1657 I agree with you. We know how to spot pervs and Gene didn't lean in for the kiss. And plus you can tell who didn't REALLY watch LAUGH-IN. If they did that today EVERYBODY(Men&Women) on that show would be considered pervs. Some people on here are acting like she was 15 not a grown woman and that she didn't initiate the kiss... They did it for comedy......
